I tried it. It just keeps a nice list of them and does nothing of note. But I only tested it for one day. After multiple days, it might do something.

I have just reread pages 5 and 6 of this thread, where poeople are discussing post counts, and it is SHOCKING how quickly some people's post counts have rocketed in the past 18 months. Can't be long til I hit 10,000 then. :o  :?

Nothing happened when Wizzie got to that target. And Stamala is the next to get to that post count...

It has just been Freshers' Week, and there is something I have been working on that I have since decided would be a cool 10,000th post. But it requires more work yet (another week with nothing else on), so let's see if it happens or not!

My sources state that some random farce happened 10 years before Wizzie got 10,049 posts. But unfortunately, they don't know. Where's Homer?

I think that there is absolutely no long running forum on internet that doesn't meet with "before was great, now is crap" feelings.

That is rarely valid criticism. It reminds me of people who rant about how F1 today is boring, and then hail something from the past like 1992 season. :)

I'm new here and maybe in this particular case, this is true, i don't know, but even if that being the case, it is something absolutely inevitable and normal. I'm still not done with reading majority of posts, and new ones seem just as funny, inteligent and educating as the old ones. :)

My Flying Hesketh avatar has never changed in any way.

This' avatar is also one that I don't think has been changed.
My friend's USB drive spoiled, spilled tea on her laptop and had a bird poo in her hand.

What did she do in her past life to deserve this?

I've already changed mine at least 7 or 8 times  But I'll keep this one for a while, as I can't be bothered to change it, and it's too good, being the Toyota TF101 test prototype.

Mario has had the same avatar since May 2010 when I resized it for him, and IIRC he never had an avatar before then.

Me? If my calculations are correct, this is my eighth avatar overall... and the fourth during the past one year. :?

I do know that this current one was not my first. I remember having a platypus one early last year when all the new F1 noses were being compared to said animal, but before that, I have no recollection of what any of my own avatars were.

True, that was also the first one i had (before that, i just had no avatar), so obviously i'm not changing avatars a lot. I'm too grown-up for that. :P
Perhaps i might have used a few things in between those two, but i can't quite remember, i've been on so many forums in my life, and the ones i use here are less random than some of the stuff i once used.

I seem to remember my first avatar was the Tyrrell 025, and then when I started coming here more frequently I ditched that for a Dome F105. I've been through quite a few, including Takagi's suggestive move on Badoer in 1999, Jan Magnussen, Tom Dillmann, and since then I've stuck with Grosjean because I can't be arsed to change it now.

Maybe I'll have a new one in 2014...
