He'd certainly unrejectify himself...which, I believe, is a word we haven't used this year.

Vergne was part of the way there in Canada but other than that we haven't used that term a lot this season

How many seasons have there been where there have been no unrejectifications? How rare is it? (It has to be kinda rare, because new drivers come along most seasons).

In order to be unrejectified, you have to have scored 3 points under the pre-2003 points system (10, 6, 4, 3, 2, 1). Which means Esteban would have had to score a 4th, a 5th and 6th, or 3 6th places to be unrejectified at the least. Gutiérrez has only scored a 7th, so under the pre-2003 points system, he would not have any points.

Max Chilton (22nd, Q1 - 1:44.198)
“It has been a difficult day overall but particularly in qualifying with the DRS issue. On the first laps of the second run I went faster, but on my second flying lap there was nothing left in the tyres, which is disappointing because I think Jules and I would have been pretty close again when it counted. Looking at what I lost from DRS and also by doing three laps versus one lap, we can say that the time loss was significant. However, tomorrow is another day and we’ll be pushing to make it a positive one.”

Yes, and he did it in style, too. With a solid, well-deserved 21st place finish. Only 2 laps down.
Superb effort, Max. Proud of you.

And Max by himself has only scored one point less than both drivers at the most successful team of the 1990s combined! (Williams, WCC 1992, 93, 94, 96, 97)

Max Chilton, Marussia
“I shared the experience of the inaugural United States Grand Prix with the team last year in my role as reserve driver and it was great to see just how much Austin had put into welcoming F1 back to America. The reception we all received from the fans was fantastic and the track looked awesome, so I’m really happy that I will finally get the chance to drive there next weekend. I’ve been on the simulator this week for some final preparation and we’ve done a lot of work evaluating the issues from the race in Abu Dhabi, so I think we are as prepared as we can be for whatever challenges the final two races throw at us.”

I think we could see Chilton bagging his first Formula 1 points on Sunday. With emphasis on points, meaning he will finish 9th or better!
You heard it here first.

If Kovalainen doesn't finish any higher than 14th in the last two races, Max Chilton will hold on to 22nd place in the Drivers' Championship! That would a remarkable achievement, considering the top level experience that Heikki has.

Wow! In P2, Chilton was 0.783 faster than teammate Bianchi.

Marussia - Max Chilton
“Generally I’ve had a good day today when everything seemed to be going in a positive direction, so I think we have to look beyond the brake disc problem that cut short my afternoon session because we seem to be making good progress. Luckily we didn’t lose much time and we can find a good solution for the rest of the weekend. I have enjoyed my first day at the Circuit of The Americas and hope to see this continue tomorrow and into the race.”

Something that may get lost in the tide is this little fact: MaxiAttack is 71 laps away from being the first ever rookie to finsh every race of his debut season. What an amazing achievement. The BBC should be making moves to get him on their Sports Personality of the Year programme should he do so.

Max Chilton, Marussia
“It’s hard to believe that the final race of the year is upon us. There’s so much to look back on, to learn from and savour but for now we have to keep looking ahead and stay focused on what’s at stake this weekend. Brazil was the scene of so much disappointment last year and as reserve driver for the team I saw that first hand. I think we can all be proud that we have held 10th place all season so that’s what everyone has in their sights. Interlagos is another great circuit that I will relish driving for the first time, but I think the expected wet weather will make it a less than straightforward weekend up and down the field.”
