F1 only: 8/22 (36.36%).
Non-F1: 41/79 (51.90%).

How dare they contradict something I figured out myself
Seriously, I double-checked, and it is Liuzzi who spent the most laps in last, not Karthikeyan. Unless they added Ricciardo's total to Karthikeyan's, I don't see how I could have made such a big mistake when I was figuring my championship out. I mean, I can't just pull a 189-lap lead out of thin air, can I?

I got less than you on both scores! (Overall = 43.56%)
There was a lot of guessing going on, but I'm glad I got most of the picture questions right. There's one F1 reject picture that everyone on here should get right....
So we're ALL getting the Johnny Claes Award question wrong then?

50.50%. I could've got a couple correct if I didn't need to rush because I needed to leave from the only place I'll enjoy some Internet until next week.
dr-baker wrote:So we're ALL getting the Johnny Claes Award question wrong then?
No. It is Autosport who got the answer wrong. Makes me wonder if they got other answers wrong...
And I sucked the worst only getting a 33% rate at this quiz.
If I remember well there were some questions over previous editions of the Autosport Christmas quiz (some of which have cropped up here), so it is possible that somebody has made a mistake. Mind you, as tommykl says, if they really are that far out on who did the most laps in last place that would be a major error - 189 laps is the equivalent of about three full race distances...

What question is that? I can't remember...
Most number of laps in last place...

OK, so it's the day after Boxing Day and nobody's linked to this yet? Oh well.
Here are my results:
You scored 30/50 (60.00%).
F1 only: 12/20 (60.00%).
Non-F1: 18/38 (47.37%).
That's not too bad. Most fans did as well as you...
Their maths seems a bit messed up there... 20 + 38 =/= 50.

That's a pretty sizeable mistake there...
Speaking of which, I suppose that it would not be the usual Christmas quiz without some dispute over their questions. I have a minor quibble about their question concerning the long wheelbase E21 and when it was first raced - they cite the Italian GP, but the long wheelbase version of the E21 was only used in the practise sessions of the Italian GP, not the race itself. To my mind, the car is raced when it takes part in the race session itself, not the practise sessions, so I think that question would make more sense if they said "first introduced".

I take issue with the Marc Marquez 'off the podium' question. He finished off the podium twice: once when he retired at Italy, and when he was disqualified at Australia. Yet the quiz says the answer is zero. Did Marquez crave the attention so much he crashed both podium ceremonies?
...in bed.

It must be in terms of races he actually finished which is zero. I got caught out by that one too.
Is it me, or have Autosport (not yet) bothered with this this year?

My overall results for this year's quiz: 19/50 F1 results: 5/7 Non-F1 results: 13/43 (I have not used any secondary research for this quiz to maintain legitimacy, also I'm quite baffled that I got Q9, Q26, Q27, Q29 and Q40 right and got Q3 and Q47 wrong but then again, you can't know everything let alone understand it)
I did it few days ago. I can only remember overall score which is 27/50
Rio Haryanto for the win! He upon seeing me accidentaly paint Belgian flag rotated 90 deg to right tommykl returns from the bathroom tommykl reads the chat logs tommykl has a stroke
Thanks. Only after you linked to it did I see where it was on Autosport's front page. I thought they normally had a big, obvious link to it? Never mind...

I actually got the exact percentage right that dr-baker got, 44%.
You scored 22/50
F1 only: 6/8 (75%)
Non-F1: 16/42 (38.09)
But really, there should have been more F1 questions. Most Autosport viewers probably only care about F1 and not too much of anything else. Well, at least it's a good way to test my knowledge and guessing skills.

The other point is that, now that Autosport is limiting the number of page views per month, I would not be surprised if it is the case that most participants have not been able to read the articles which have the necessary information to complete the quiz.
