If McLaren wanted to fire Whitmarsh after 2013, they'd have done it much earlier. Clearly something must have happened between São Paulo and now.

Things have got to be bad at Lotus, there's no reason for Eric Bouiller to leave otherwise. I think he's the best option available to McLaren; clearly more competent than Sam Michael even considering Michael's experience with the team.
