Which former F1 driver rolled a brand new Merc 6.9 S class between Druids & Graham Hill Bend (Brands) when on a demonstration run to show what a great car the brand new beast was. Only clue........ mid/late 60s. Oh all right...British.

I would guess Stirling Moss as he is the only British driver that I can think of who was linked with Mercedes.

A driver who drove in F1 during mid-to-late 60s you mean?

OK, I'll call time on this one as a) no-ones got it & b)I can't find the reference in my books.

The answer (if my memory is not playing tricks) (no age jokes please!) is Innes Ireland.

Sod it i'm going to answer anyway,

MARTIN BRUNDLE

Brabham 1989

Had to prequalify the first half of the season because it was their first year back, the results in monaco for the team got them out of friday morning madness.

Its still your turn thoug eagleash, i knew innes ireland existed but i Did'nt know of his exploits.

It's OK you have a go if you'd like to. I've posted 3 now which no ones got, so my era is obviously far too early.

I know the second without looking: Peter Collins and Mike Hawthorn said that one to another before the races I think.

The other one is similar era.

Shortish F1 career but was on Ferrari's books until retirement. Quite well known in sports cars. (That's 3 clues in total).

Mike Hawthorn & Peter Collins famously called each other "Mon Ami Mate". I'm in the dark regarding the Jellybean, though.

Yes that bit was easy...see above & for 3 clues.

I'll put in a third one which should also be very easy....

C) "Jumper"

Very well done Carlos!!!!! 10/10 :o

Not Nando,

Jumper is another wordplay on the name of the driver, 70s/80s.

OK, not very good at setting puzzles, but...

What do Rikky von Opel, Eliseo Salazar, Tomas Enge, Narain Karthikeyan, HWNSNBM and Alex Yoong have in common?

In 2003 they were both test drivers who replaced other drivers, and both scored points in their one race.

Only thing I can think of is 2003 - they were both test drivers that had to step in mid-season replacements, but only competed in a single race that year...and scored points in said races.

Apart from that - not a clue.

Goblin don't go there you are on thin ice with Europeans when it comes to US military stuff. :D

Whilst we wait for Shinji to get out of detention or whatever is keeping him from posting a Q...

Here's one should be easy.

Which World Champ changed teams & trailered his own race car (behind a Ford Zodiac I think) from capetown to Kyalami for the next season's opener.

It's obviously quite old (It's me Godammit) so no other clues.
