AGS could probably do with a drag update.

We're out of pre-qualifying now though, which is a bonus. Hopefully having both Alain and Alex on the grid on a regular basis will aid our quest for more points further.

Brabham will help themselves to a weight update. We need to go lighter.

I suppose both tests will be with 3 cars?

So should have I, because Brabham will actually just use two main cars. Sorry.

We will keep testing our sequential gearbox with all three drivers. Donninghton or some other British track, depends on where is possible and are other cars.

Rules & Chassis design

Here is my brand new chassis design system(CDS):
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AlKPxLinOTyTdGcyd1NwNXVpcVBpYk1QM2s4X1hzVGc&usp=sharing

It is really simple: You choose a base(mendatory) and an upgrade package(optional).
With the base you get a chassis and 10 "free points" which can be used to focus on a particular area of the car(grip, top speed, suspension, reliability or weight).
Each point will make your car better in the choosen area.(+1 for grip, top speed, suspension and reliability; -1 for weight).
The "upgrade packages" 1,2 or 3 for the choosen Base chassis will give you additional "free points".

Aging and "b-versions"
You will be able to make an complete overhaul of your car by making a so called "b-version". If you choose f.e. Upgrade package 1, and you want to make the b version you will have to pay the full price for the higher upgrade package, f.e. upgrade package 3, and you'll get those points. This is only possible twice a year and each chassis generation(A,B,C...) has to run at least 6 races before beeing able to upgrade it to the next version.

Aging is very simple: After the first year, the chassis will be 20% worse. After the second year it will be again 15% worse and from than on 10% per year.
f.e. Grip value of chassis XY:
Season 1(season in which its designed) 100
Season 2 80
Season 3 68
Season 3 61.2
Season 4 55.08
.
.
.
.

There will also be an "Engine swap penalty". It will be applied if you change your engine manufacturer and/or the amount of cylinders without redesign the chassis. A new chassis or a "b-version" will take the penalty away.

For 1992, each team will have to build a new chassis. From than on, it will be possible to carry it over to the next season(with the aging penalty applied).
You can start with designing your chassis for 1992 now(vie PM).
You will have to design your chassis before the last race of the season. If you design it after the last race and before the start of sponsor negotiations you will only get 1 pre-season test at the start of the next season. If you design it after sponsor negotiations you won't get any pre-season test!

Benetton has agreed to lend Michael Schumacher to BMS Scuderia Italia - Dallara for 3 or 4 races. Schumacher will replace JJ Lehto at Hockeheim and Hungaroring. More to follow depending on Erik Comas' results in these rounds. Comas, Lehto and Pirro all remain under contract, none of them is fired.
Takagi can confirm this if needed.

Since Lotus is now in debt, and with new chassis rules on the horizon, and an engine in need of much development, I feel I should choose between managing either Lotus or Cosworth, and since I prefer engines, I choose Cosworth. So Lotus is now up for sale. This will give you enough time to start work on the new car. Whoever takes it over will have a factory Cosworth contract, a finished adjustable rear wing, and will not have to worry about pre-qualifying next year. I will of course share any and all data I have on them.

How I can get designing chassis if my team is on debt? At least we're still somewhat competitive-ish... :|

Ok, accepted, so Lotus is now without a manager. The next on the waiting list would be Collieafc. He is already managing Yamaha but if he want he can have Lotus.

You'll probably have to wait until the end of the season(after the last race) after you got your price money. This would cost you 1 free testing session. With your current possition you'd get 7m$ price money. If that is not eneough money, you will have to wait until you got your sponsorship money, which would cost you the 2 test too.

Before I send my chassis design plan, I have a question.

You say this:

Hermann95 wrote:There will also be an "Engine swap penalty". It will be applied if you change your engine manufacturer and/or the amount of cylinders without redesign the chassis. A new chassis or a "b-version" will take the penalty away.

Now, I currently have a Cosworth unit. If I wanted to design my chassis now, and then switch engine supplier in time for 1992, would this deliver a penalty?

I'm not saying I want to switch, but it's a question that I think is for the benefit of everyone...

No, the penalty will only apply if you use your new chassis for more than one year and change the engine as i stated, or you swap the engine mid-season. The new chassis will be designed for the engine you use next season(although we all don't know which one it would be ;) ).

Ill see if I can help Lotus out, but if so, can I pass/leave Yamaha? Just as I would find it hard to be impartial if I done both

It's up to you. If you like to manage a team, go with Lotus.

This leaves Yamaha without a manager. I'll manage them(do basically nothing with them) until someone is willed to take them over.

There are no new entries for 92. I can set you on the waiting list and you'll be the first one who gets a team when it becomes available(if no one leaves the series, Sauber in 1993).

Dalmas' position is at risk. He will be replaced by Alboreto if he fails to score in the next few races. That is all.

For the next testing session, two cars will focus on the adjustable rear wing and 1 on weight.

Maybe it will be our last test of the year if we decide to focus on 1992
