While we are sad that drag racing didn't win, their is much potential in a touring car series.........provided we do not limit the engines.
Riccetti Competition bids 30k for the Firenze shares.
We at Blokkmonsta do not agree and think that there should be at least some regulation for the engines.
As participants of Formula Community (FC), we noticed very quickly that JLD motorsport's engines quickly rose to prominence with a hydrogen-powered engine, which we believe killed competition when at really mattered (getting the series off of the ground).
As a team who does not want the series to collapse in the first event, we reccomend that we have engine regulations to keep the competition pretty even for as long as possible.
However, we would like some engine development in order to attract engine manufacters and designers. An American Market would probably prefer big V8s, but there should be room for turbos and maybe hybrid engines as well.
We felt like the previous series was far too radical for entry-level budget, so we would rather play conservative and try to attract audiences through good old competition, and not fall into "promoting the show" like F1 and NASCAR are prone to do.
(Also, on a personal note, can we please not have anti-matter engines or stuff that in no way should be feasible in 2014? I would like some realism in this series thank you very much

Your concerns are of course valid. Perhaps we should clarify. We believe the following would be a good spec as it would allow much diversity and would let the teams develop their own motors a bit:
N/A Engines: 6.0L Displacement limit, no other restrictions.
Turbo Engines: 2.25L Displacement Limit, Limit to 1 Turbo, Maximum 6 cylinders, 17,500rpm limit, 2bar boost limit.
Supercharged Engines: 3L Displacement Limit, Maximum 8 cylinders, 15,000rpm limit, 3bar boost limit.
N/A Diesel Engines: 8L Displacement Limit, no other restrictions.
Turbo Diesel: 4L Displacement Limit, 3bar boost limit, Limit two turbochargers, 3bar boost limit.
Fuel must be petroleum based and have a max octane rating of 110RON. Nitrous oxide (sadly) prohibited. Engine must be one of the above listed types. Engine must last an entire race weekend. Turbines, rotaries, two-strokes prohibited.
This is just a guideline of course, but would draw people in!
