But at least there's a variety there. I keep getting the same goddamn spammers all the time. Same bots, same links, same order. I think I deleted an amount somewhere in the double-digits today.

If you upgrade to phpBB 3.0.6 there's a new CAPTCHA plugin system. You can then switch to reCAPTCHA authentication, which seems to stop all automated processes. I've implemented it on my own board and not had any spammers since.

They scan through the forum, archive the posts, and move on. It's how the search engines search.
