Their last names both start with the letter 's'?

Other than that, I haven't a clue.

They both made their debut (if you count Stolemaker's as an actual race) in 1962, cause apart from that, there's not much to pick.

Since I'm also out of options on this one, I'll take some pretty wild guesses, which (considering what world we live in) might not be too far-fetched, when you think about them:

1.) They're distant cousins or somehow related to each other (Serrurier was from South Africa and the Dutch had colonies in Africa)
2.) They we're picked up by Teddy Yip at some point in their career (because, let's face it, almost every reject had contact with Yip at least once)
3.) They bought their racing shoes from Andrea Sassetti
4.) They were both participating in the Kyalami 9 hours of the South African Springbok Trophy Series in 1968
5.) They both used Brabham cars at some point, Slotemaker in 1964 and Serrurier in the late sixties, but Serrurier modified BT11s, while Slotemaker's were F3 models...
6.) Elaborating on 5.) Serrurier modified Brabhams for the Gold Star Series. Maybe Slotemaker drove a car modified by Serrurier in that series. If so, I can't find any evidence...

Well, perhaps one of them is close to the truth... :)

You're closer than you think with that guess...

Similarly, you're getting close ;)

Is one of their names just an Anglicised version of the other's?

I think you're right. Serrurier is french for locksmith and if I'm not mistaken, Slotemaker means the same in dutch. At least in German it means Schlossmacher. Why didn't I think of that earlier? ;)

Slotenmaker is locksmith in Dutch, yeah. I should have thought of that.. seems my French is not quite good enough..

1. Who is the shortest F1 driver ever?
2. Who is the tallest F1 driver ever?
3. What is the average height of current F1 drivers?

1. Ant Davidson at 160 cm, I guess.
2. Mike Hawthorn? He was 188 cm tall IIRC. Or Alex Wurz - 187 cm.
3. 175-176 cm.

1 and 3 are right, 2 is wrong.

Tallest ever, I'm guessing, was Justin Wilson.

Also, Archie Scott Brown was significantly shorter than Davidson, as he never grew taller than five feet...

I didn't realize the 1. question was wrong. It was Wilson, actually. BTW, there was also one driver even shorter than Scott-Brown...

If you're referring to the single (not very trustworthy) source that states that John Love was 4'9" tall, then I'm afraid that would be wrong, as there is a photo proving that he was quite a bit taller...

Well, yeah, I took that into account. It's just that you're obsessed with Max Chilton to the point where it's a decent guess for literally any trivia question you field.
