Having checked the 50 and 51 seasons again, I have decided that Robert Manzon should be replaced by Trintignant in every round apart from round 2.
So Tritignant will drive the majority of rounds, but Manzon, Behra and Simon will each drive one race each to try and prove their worth.
At the Spanish end of things, Paco Godia will drive for all rounds.

As I continue to be woefully disorganised, I've just realised that DCR had Northern Ireland as well. Therefore, Desmond Titterington will get the drive again for now as I don't have any better ideas as to who can be put in the car

After finding some good sources for1950s South American racing drivers, here's a few things to consider:
How about Ramón López or Attilio Cagnasso?
How about Bartolomé Ortiz, who attended the 1950 Chilean Grand Prix? Based on a Google Translation he was one of the more celebrated Chilean drivers in the early 1950s.
Excluding 1954 Carrera Panamericana entrants, there's also Lorenzo Varoli to consider.
P.S. Having done more research, I'm switching the Colombian reserve driver from Garzon to Juán Riú. Colombia will end their co-operation with Venezuela and are joining forces with Guatemala instead, under the name Alianza Latinoamericana.

Oh man, Colombia is going to have their backsides handed to them in this. At least Jaroslav Juhan is semi-decent in the Guatemalan team.

One would expect Ascari to be right at the top of the timesheets, but crikey, David Murray has really come on leaps and bounds since his A1GP debut! Comfortably in the Top 10, mixing it with multiple F1 race winners! Looks like Scotland has a lot to look forward to this year!

Fangio can only manage third for Argentina behind France's Trintignant while its Canada's Hal Robson who manages to pull out the surprise lap of the session by taking 4th, Canada's best ever starting position.

You all have the opportunity to decide your teams race strategies, you have until the end of Monday.
Race Distance - 104 Laps
Refuelling is banned from the series so everyone starts with a full tank to last the race.
Hard tyres last for approximately 55 laps.
Soft tyres last for approximately 35 laps.
Pit stops take around 40 to 50 seconds in total.
Due to the abrasive nature of the track, a fully worn tire will loose around 3 seconds per lap compared to a fresh tire. Soft tires start out around 1 second per lap quicker than a hard tire.

Ascari starts on the soft tyre. He pits on Lap 30 for hard tyres. He then pits on Lap 81 for softs again.
David Murray starts on the hard tyre. He runs until lap 52. He pits for another set of hards, and runs to the end.

Peru will start of the softs and not stop, Mexico will start on the hards and not stop (let's see how far behind I can get them)

Brazil will stop twice, starting with soft tyres, replacing with another set of softs and finishing with hard ones

Hmm, a big leap in understanding tires here.
So Spain will experiment, 40 laps on the soft than the rest of the way on the Hards.
France will play it safer and start on the softs, pit on lap 28, swap to the hards, go to lap 71 and then finish the race on the softs.

Very little time to figure out a decent strategy...
All three drivers will do two stints on soft tyres and one stint on the hard tyres. Claes does his first two on softs and the third on hards, pitting on laps 27 and 54. Jaroslav Juhan will run the first 26 laps on softs, then switch to hards before switching to softs again on lap 78.
Arcesio Paz will use hard tyres throughout the race, making his only scheduled pitstop on lap 53.

Holland will use softs and pit in lap 22,44,66 and 88. It's a risky strategy, but interesting to see where we will end up compared to our next rivals.

Canada following their brilliance in qualifying are going for the safe strategy of using only hard tyres. We will split the race, i.e. stopping on lap 52 just once for a new set of hards.

Monaco will stop on lap 53, hard tyres both stints. Denmark and Wales will both do three stints of softs, stopping on laps 34 and 69.

Team Czechoslovakia will start on soft tyres and pit in on lap 30 for a set of hard tyres then on lap 85 for a set of softs.

Finally completed this race, I figured out a way to simulate the races quicker yesterday and I managed to get the final half of this race done in one evening, so that should mean I can turn out future races much quicker from now on.
