Does it say "MaRussia?" Definitely opens up a lot of "Mother Russia" or "In Communist Russia" jokes.

I'll start: "In Communist Russia, virgins launch you!"

The most beautiful car I've seen in a long time, excluding the MP4-25, that Virgin.

I like the little psychedelic swirls on the car, it shows a touch of design nous, rather than just flinging sponsor decals on.

Ehm... ya think Virgin needs sponsors? its funded by Richard friggin Branson, the man who started his own space ship program because he wanted to go to space :D

They have a touch of Super Aguri about them, which can't be a bad thing!

http://www.virginracing.com/cars/#/video I think Timo is in Tim O'Glock mode, good video as it's maybe a little more personal than some of the other team launches so far. Plus more to see of the car, which definately looks like it obeys the "If it looks right, then it is right." adage.

Force India are supposedly unveiling their 2010 car next week. So what is that thing behind Paul Di Resta?

Wow, very nice car from Virgin, with a cool front wing.
However, as an old Midland fan, yes, the livery looks too familiar :P

the swirls, or "tatoos", on the car, are actually some ancient Russian ornaments, representing Russian involvement with the team: "MaRussia" is a project of Nikolay Fomenko (former singer/entertainer/FIA GT reject); they are advertising themselves as the "first Russian sportscar manufacturer" and are claiming to be Virgin's "technical partner"

Fomenko also had a very brief appearance in A1GP's first weekend when he drove for the Motherland in practice. They should name him to be their test driver, he's 48 years old so that would surpass that baby-faced Schumacher child.

Marussia is a fleldging Russian sports car manufacturer. If you're going to make In Soviet Russia jokes, make them about Petrov.

So they would be to Russia roughly what DeLorean was to Northern Ireland then? Sweet...

I'm pleased that all the cars, that have taken to tarmac this month , have scrapped the aerodynamic, yet eyesoreing, airflow hubcaps, or whatever they are called, they used to work in group-c, but not in F1 anymore thankfully

That new Force India looks somewhat conservative, at first glance. Very detailed front wing treatment though. Apparently much work has gone into the diffuser, but unsurprisingly there are no pics of that available.

Perhaps more than any other car so far the VJM03 looks very "cab forward", emphasising how the enlarged fuel tanks has stretched the section from the cockpit back.

It's very similar to last year's car (lumpy aspect) but they stretched the fin until the rear wing, just as McLaren. The front and rear wings are also a bit different.

It seems that this year harvest in terms of colour schemes and aerodesing its set to be the best in years (last 8 years or so). So far, I haven't seen anything unpleasent to watch, let alone something like the Honda 2008.
