Dull. Two team-mates slugging it out is not entertaining. And the Lewisteria didn't help. And the Lewisulking didn't help either - man up for bathplug sake! I want to sit down in March and see at least two teams slugging it out.

And for those two teams to be Manor and Caterham, like the good old days. :(

Much better than one driver dominating, as in the days of Schumacher or Vettel... At least there was a battle...

As well as battles for positions that weren't 1st or 2nd... and being F1 Rejects, do we really care about that?

I thought it just meant we cared more about the battle at the back...

Better than 2013, I have to say Bahrain Grand Prix saved this season.
Great battles all throughout the field all year.
Ricciardo's storm wins also saved it.
More, V6 is not that bad, it created some great races.
Mercedes still keep the driver's title battle fair, let them race.
Sad that Lotus and Sauber went backwards, some safety glitchs (that's how I say it....), Marussia went into administration, Lotterer only survived one lap.
BUT, the best moment all year long is

Average. Better than 2013, 2011, 2010, 2006, 2005 and 2004 for sure, but not enough to be a good season.
Waiting for Lotus hiring Johnny Cecotto jr.

So... you think 2007 for instance was better than 2014? Even though the racing that year was terrible? Championship battles are not the be-all and end-all of Formula 1. I would've thought people on this forum would know that, if no-one else. 2014 was not the most action-packed year, but I would still take it over most seasons before 2011.

For me too, individual races being exciting are more important than the title race. I started watching during 2009, and I've liked every season from 2011 on. I don't remember much of 2009-10, maybe because it was the first couple years so I didn't understand things as well, or maybe because there wasn't much to remember....

Not better, equivalent. 2007 had some interesting races, like Canada, Germany and Japan.

And I'm not talking only about the title battle. I like the midfield battle too but the amount that I saw in this year weren't enough for me. I want to see more intense battles.

I think the general consensus is the better seasons are the ones with the most variation of race winners or potential race winners. 2012 was considered good because 6 different teams won races with Sauber almost being a 7th.

I couldn't agree more with this theory, I've been saying that for years. And that is the same reason why I rank 2008 above 2010. :P

Force India also had an outside chance of winning at Brazil. If they'd have won, Toro Rosso aside, every team would have either won a race or failed to score a single point.

Well said in the last few posts; two team-mates winning with a few crumbs from the table for Daniel (as good as he is) doesn't make for an interesting season.
Part of the attraction for me is anticipation for the next season; Vettel sulking in a slow Ferrari and McLaren sulking cos they paid a fortune for Alonso to tour in another slow car. I can't wait!
