What was he doing?

EDIT: It's great that you've managed to get an interview with the guy. I guess I would like to know what he thought of his time in F1 and his opinions of the teams he drove for. I would also like to know if he thought he could get up to speed if given more chances in F1 and possibly fight for points/wins etc. Also you should ask him if he has any connections that could get the Pacific grand prix website back up!

However mainly, what was he doing?

Apart from the obvious (which has already been said), does he regret his time in F1, and wish he'd done things differently?

Alright, here we go... they propably are no good, but anyways:

How would you explain your difficulties in Formula 1 when your sports car career looks so good?

Seeing as you have participated in both, what do you prefer as a viewer? Endurance racing or Formula 1?

and of course a hypothetical question...

If you would be asked today by a team to become a regular driver for them ... would you join F1 again?

What was for you to feel the whole F1 paddock was constantly dismissing you?
You got to know Giovanni Lavaggi as you were teammates at Pacific in 1995. How was your relationship?

We should also ask him a bit about his hopes and aspirations for the coming GT1 season, so that he doesn't feel like we're only interested in what is probably the least successful time in his career.
However: Does he see it that way, or was getting into F1 alone his biggest success?
Which would also lead to the question: In hindsight, would he rather have stayed out of F1 in exchange for, perhaps, yet more success in other categories.

Also: Would he advise young drivers who may have less money than he had to try to get into F1 whatever the price, or does he think they might aim for other categories as well, where less sponsorship money is required, where sheer talent may count more, and where they may be given more time to develop their skills.

Here's a few questions from me.

What was the situation like at Pacific when you were at the team in 1995, and likewise at Larrousse in 1994?

What did you think of your teammates in F1, Andrea Montermini and Hideki Noda?

All things considered, did you enjoy being in Formula 1?

What accomplishment in your career would you say you are most proud of?

I've got a few questions;

Whether he regretted his time in F1, or if given the same circumstances he would do it all over again?

In his opinion what differences there are between driving an F1 car and a GT1 car? & which he perfers?

And what has made him so "successful" in the GT1 series, that he perhaps lacked in F1?

Finally his fondest racing memory so far?

In case you're wondering what Luca means, I messaged him to ask if we could use the interview on the main site to which Luca kindly agreed. In that case, we would also like to just edit some of the questions and add a few in keeping with the normal F1 Rejects style of interview questions.

Unfortunately, there will be some of the questions above which I don't think we can use, some because they duplicate each other or are very similar to another question. Or if they imply that he was bad and/or hopeless and/or the subject of derision. Whilst that may or may not be the case, and whilst we perhaps like to poke fun at his F1 exploits, to say that in a written interview (not a brilliant communication medium to begin with because you can't read someone's voice or body language to catch each other's "tone") would be somewhat rude and insulting given that he has kindly agreed to answer the questions. We don't know how much of a sense of humour he has!

Likewise, I am not sure we will be able to ask what exactly he was doing at the Nurburgring in 1995. Unless he has heard the Murray Walker commentary, or is shown the clip, he won't have a clue what we're talking about. To describe the moment to him would be wordy - and he might still not have a clue what we're talking about. It may be a classic moment for us, but it may have been a very forgettable incident to him that he hasn't given another second's thought to (remembering of course that wiggling a car side-to-side is a common way of testing the steering if you suspect that you may have damaged it in an incident).

And, of course, there are simply time/length restrictions especially since the interview will be written and not done in real time.

I'm sorry if all this sounds a bit blunt. I'll be editing the questions right now but I'm short of time because my wife gave birth to our second child about 40 hours ago! I am very appreciative of all of you who submitted questions (and I'm sure Kuwashima is as well) because, rest assured, they will form much of the interview.
