That's what I thought about de la Rosa, too.
And Michael Schumacher. And, if rumours are to believed, Ralf Schumacher and Jacques Villeneuve. And certainly Luca Badoer. And Vinantonio Liuzzi. And Alex Wurz, prior to his recent comeback. Ditto, further back, Tarso Marques.
In short, never say never.
Yeah, Jan Lammers might make a comeback.

What about Nigel Mansell... Bruno Senna used LMS last year to keep up to speed for F1... is Our Nige planning a comeback to take the Red 5 off that pesky Seb Vettel!?!

It looks like Mansell has set his sights on another prize instead - he is entering the Le Mans 24 hours this year, in a Ginetta-Zytek LMP1 car, alongside his two sons.

I personally prefer Trulli to Heidfeld, but I do agree that Nick was probably more deserving of the seat and has more to offer F1 generally (he also doesn't throw temper tantrums, that we know of). But I'd rather have seen Sato, Davidson or Klien than either of them.
Even though Trulli can put in some very tidy drives, and get some decent results (such as at Suzuka this year), I do think that Heidfeld would have been a more consistant, and ultimately better, driver over the course of a year. He does seem to be the forgotten man of F1 in many ways - he outdrive Kubica comprehensively in 2007 and 2009, and yet it is Kubica who is seen as a potential future star.
As for those mentioned above, Sato has had a few goes at getting back into F1, but the problem is that the longer it is, the lower his chances, and by now realistically he has probably had his best chances to get back into the sport. Klien seems to have dropped off the map within F1 circles, relatively speaking, whilst Davidson may be content to drive the Aston-Lola prototypes instead (after all, he was in one of the teams last year, and did reasonably well).
Martin Brundle, on watching a replay of Grosjean spinning:
"The problem with Grosjean is that he want to take a look back at the corner he's just exited"

Re: 2010 Driver Market
Isn't Anthony Davidson being looked at by Audi for DTM? Could be a sportscar tie-in there as well... And David Coulthard is also evaluating a now-common move to DTM for retired F1-drivers (Alesi, Hakkinen)...
It does seem that a lot of very talented British drivers have ended up mired in German Touring Cars... Jamie Green, Gary Paffett, Paul Di Resta... Davidson would fit right in there...

As if Audi wasn't bland enough yet.

If all else fails a rocket launcher works just as fine
General rule of thumb I use on COD: MW1 and MW2*
*I don't actually play MW2 but I do have a copy of it which my brother almost constantly uses
How this discussion came from where each driver is going to COD I will never know

Who wants to set the odds on Soucek suing Virgin at some point for not putting out a race drive for him?

Odds? 4:1 he sues.
Judging by how lawsuit-happy he is I wonder if he really is American?

Being stressed out and overweight may not be YOUR fault! It's true, a mysterious condition might be to blame. An estimated 70-80% are suffering from this condition, and don't even know it!
