James Martin's Mille Miglia Attempt Should be a Reject!

Post by Stuart »

This is a little off topic but will hopefully appeal to a few people. I’ve written what can only be referred to as a rant/review of the BBC’s The Real Italian Job: James Martin's Mille Miglia. Which was aired last Christmas and is now available on DVD. In this travesty James Martin (TV chef extrodinaire) attempts and fails to complete the Mille Miglia. He should be given honorary reject status for the most annoying retirement ever. A tenuous link but ex F1 drivers were competing in it and it used to be a must race for most F1 drivers back in the day :D

Anyway it’s just for fun, have a read if you’d like:

Thanks,
Stuart.

What's embarrassing is that he retired from a parade.

And Sir Stirling Moss had to tell him he needed an intercom

Quite agree, the funny thnig was the car failed because he cut corners on the engine restoration. He does make a good pudding though...
"will you stop him playing tennis then?", referring to Montoya's famous shoulder injury, to which Whitmarsh replied "well, it's very difficult to play tennis on a motorbike"
