Although Fabian was, as far as I know, born and bred in New Zealand and has had virtually nothing to do with DC and never made anything of the family association. But it is a close enough link to be included in this thread.

Strictly speaking he's not driving for the Holden Racing Team this season but the other works Holden operation owned by Tom Walkinshaw, the Bundaberg Rum Racing team. Very disappointing in the season opener in Abu Dhabi, though.

It's just a bit of branding IMO. I still think of them as HRT considering they're running out of the same factory.

Paul Stewart.

Jackie supported his efforts up the ladder, 1 win in F3, but was not prolific in F3000, however it did not stop Paul getting into F1 by other means.

In 1988 was given a lot of publicity for an F3 driver, being the brother of an F1 driver, was given the #1 for the 88 F3 season, but was not really at the front, however his 89 season was better despite the mismanagment of the Cellnet backed Intersport team (Damon Hill and Martin Donnely with most of the teams success, Vicenzo Sospiri also made an appearance in the primalry-colours), shifted into F3000 in the middle of the 1990 single-seater season, was able to produce decent results in a midfield-running car. For 1991 ran in the undesirable British F3000 season, but was tragically killed during the Oulton Park Gold Cup race, for which he was posthumously given not only the win of that race, but also the Championship.

Another "son of touring car legend" Jack Sears, made half baked efforts in the late 80s BTCC seasons, mostly un-remembered for his 1990 win in the hour-long "Le Mans" style race at Donington , with Sears taking the second-stint from Andy Rouse, Sears caught up with the Gravett/Blomqvist car, (or was it Blomqvist lost time through agressive driving?), and on the last corner of the last lap Blomqvist spun, and Sears won.

Sears has been in charge of the F3000/GP2 outfit SuperNova, where JPM made his presense felt.
