The Cars
There will be little deviation from the cars that were run in real F1 in this time period, mostly slight performance adjustments based on the previous performance of a team the season before.
The Drivers
Before the start of each season, you are free to offer contracts for two driver slots.
Your choice will be limited in that you must fulfill two out of three objectives when signing drivers. Those objectives will be given and explained to you in private.
If multiple teams are looking for a certain driver, RNG will decide their fate.
The Teams
10 teams for 2000, 2 cars per team. Those 10 teams have been determined by the needs of the canon and previous developments:
Ferrari (biscione)
McLaren (petoli)
Jordan (Reject_Dom)
Arrows (kevinbotz)
Williams (novitopoli)
BAR (This Could Be You)
Jaguar (pinkd56)
Sauber (wizzie)
Prost (ataxia)
Minardi (Normal32)
If any team owners fail to report back, their replacements will be decided by me in a hopefully fair selection process.
The Race Weekend
305 km except Monaco, you all know how a Formula One race works. Furthermore, there will be two one-hour sessions to determine the grid.
The Points System
10, 6, 4, 3, 2, 1 for the time being.
The Race Calendar
See the wiki for updates
If this is all automated, what do I do?
You pick the drivers, hope for the best and if you wish, you may change the lineup by replacing a driver with a driver picked from one of my suggestions if you can provide a good justification.
I promised you more involvement in 2001 and here it goes: the tyre war is underway!
After Bridgestone enjoyed a monopoly from 1998 to 2000, both Michelin and Pirelli are prepared to take the challenge to them. Each tyre supplier has advantages and disadvantages, so choose carefully:
Bridgestone:
+ Established, will have advantage in 2001
- Only has minor preference for top teams
Michelin:
+ Fresh supplier, will give uprising teams an advantage
- Top heavy, weaker teams will not be sufficiently supported
Pirelli:
+ Can provide equal support for all teams
- Can not supply more than three teams
I hereby ask all team owners to report back to the series and state their tyre preferences.
