Lance Stroll: Well I didn’t see that coming. Looked down and out in Practice, then went nowhere in either qualifying session, yet not only did he make 2 super starts he actually stayed in the points. It was a great turnaround.

HM to Fernando Alonso for that amazing show in Sprint Qualifying which set up his race result and Carlos Sainz for fighting back from being 2nd last early in the Saturday race to 6th

Charles Leclerc for coming very close to a win for Ferrari, in spite of mechanical problems.

Honorable mention for Lewis Hamilton, I should really learn not to doubt him, but that was a great recovery from the controversial crash.

1st) Charles Leclerc: Moral victor of today, and honestly should have been the overall victor, but alas that was not to be.

2nd) Alpine: Good job all around for the boys in blue, especially Alonso for his sprint race.

Charles Leclerc. Unexpected, dominant, controlled, handled the glitchy electronics, did not turn the tyres into croque monsieur in five laps. Should have had the win.

1. Charles Leclerc - 2nd place is no mean feat. The Ferrari had pace but he did a great job to do what he did.

2. Fernando Alonso - Punchy but so many good starts on Sat and Sunday that allowed him to claim 7th place. Great driving.

HM - Lance Stroll - After a difficult Sat, he finished 8th.

Really Alonso is a runaway winner for me. He was probably the only driver who was epic both in the sprint and in the race, and for that he gets my vote.

1) Yuki Tsunoda. Scored points after being knocked out Q1, well done!

2) Charles Leclerc/Ferrari. Even with engine gremlins Leclerc kept it cool, and the team finding and snubbing the issue in the bud was a breath of fresh air for a team not known for good management.

Puzzled by the love of Yuki: barely beat Latifi on Saturday, he repeats this speed on Sunday and scores points because Perez is messing about for fastest lap, and Gasly has a puncture, and Max is out. He beat Alfa, Williams and Haas on pace....as he ought to, no?
