Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - USA 2021 (POLL)
Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - USA 2021 (POLL)
1. The McLaren/Ferrari battle on lap 1. Some of the best action all season, incredible stuff.
2. Sebastian Vettel. Nice to see him back in the points, the only one of the back-of-the-grid lads to make the strategy work.

Alonso and Alpine's crusade against Masi and consistent Stewarding. It's a great side plot, I'm all for it and it's the only thing that really gave me any joy this race.

1. Yuki Tsunoda for his surprising points
2. Daniel Ricciardo for being easily the better McLaren all weekend

Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - USA 2021
Most drivers did a rather solid race here so many candidates would get my approval, however when it comes to comparing to excpectations, i think Tsunoda did the best.
I don't know what i want and i want it now!

Firmly disagree. Alpine's argument was grotesquely fallacious, and assumed similarities that weren't.
Leclerc - excellent drive, I should've given him DotD, but Raikkonen jinxed it shortly after my vote.

1- Tsunoda- kept it clean all weekend and got points
2- Ferrari Vs Mclaren Battle- Kept it (Mostly) clean all race and all 4 at one point going for it- great drives all round from all 4.

1. The Podium Ceremonies: That was gloriously, utterly insane, and I don't think anyone could've predicted Shaquille O'Neil turning up to the podium in that bizarre custom Cadillac prior to it happening. Easily the most memorable thing to happen in this race by far.
2. Yuki Tsunoda: kept himself under the radar and scored points, in a weekend he's probably needed after a streak of costly errors
HM:
Danica: very solid as part of the Sky F1 broadcast team

1 Ricciardo - did not expect that
2 Tsunoda - did not expect that

Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - USA 2021
Yuki Tsunoda gets my vote for doing what he should do more often. He made it into Q3, then scored two points. Also some nice battles with other drivers. I hope to see more of this from him.
Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - USA 2021
Gotta be Tsunoda for me too - he's copped it a bit last few races but you'd never expect him to have beaten anyone who finished in front. (Held back Bottas for a long time too which obviously helped his parent team).

Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - USA 2021
Yuki Tsunoda: After a rotten run of races this was a pleasing weekend, probably his best since Bahrain. Once again wasn’t afraid to hinder a Mercedes progression either.
Alfa Romeo: For the first time since Monaco the Alfa’s genuinely looked like taking a point on merit. Just a shame the drivers couldn’t do the business
Red Bull strategists: Fortune favours the brave and they certainly were with the early roll of the dice. I didn’t think Max or Checo would have made the end by pitting when they did.
Charles Leclerc: Dominated the best of the rest and kept Perez honest. Please Ferrari get him a quicker car next year

1) Yuki Tsunoda: For a driver who has been struggling to find form all year, that was definitely more what he should be delivering.
2) Daniel Ricciardo: Showed up Norris a bit this weekend.

Perez. A person would be lucky to stay conscious in that heat for 56 laps without anything to drink, and he finished on the podium.
It's just unbelievable...that Formula 1 could be such a ridiculous melange of idiots.

1. Ricciardo for having a firmly better race than Norris
2. Red Bull because this was supposed to be a Mercedes track and they won
