User Involvement There really isn't very much this season. However, if you are the DEC holder for someone scheduled to participate in this season and you are unhappy with where I have placed them for this season, please let me know and I can fix it for you.
IIDOTR - Lots of guest drivers in this one, none moreso than the famous Jamie Whincup who arrived for a one-off drive at Triple Eight Racing Engineering as the Asian F3 series organisers tried to generate publicity for their series. He got better and better as the weekend went on, managing to qualify third and then to climb up to second place in what will definitely be his only Formula 3 outing.
ROTR - At the other end of the field, the Theodore Junior Team had a shocking time; after a poor qualifying performance from Danial Frost, he stuck the thing in the wall on the first lap. The experienced Adelaide Voeckler then compounded the problem by spinning out on Lap 11 for the double DNF.
IIDOTR - Full credit has to go to Zhou Xiaoping, who regrouped from a shocking round in Australia to put on a fantastic show to first qualify fourth, then climb all the way up to second place at the chequered flag.
ROTR - Peak Motorsports made a double change to their driver line-up, with one seat going to Thomas Randle and the other being sold awarded to Saudi Arabia's Fahad Algosaibi They both finished outside of the points-paying positions, despite the points going down to 10th out of 14 finishers.
IIDOTR - What an absolute thriller. After leading from pole position throughout the race, Oscar Piastri had managed the threat of Theodore's Adelaide Voeckler for the entire race. Until the very last 100 metres, he held her off. At this point, the French driver pulled out of Piastri's slipstream and edged fractionally ahead at the start-finish line to take the win.
ROTR - Peak Motorsport managed to avoid a second consecutive ROTR thanks to Kwon Sung-Tae managing to piss away an excellent starting position by jumping the lights. It did not take long for him to be black flagged for that infringement.
@TheodoreRacing wrote:@VoeckAdelaide and @Danial_Frost have been fantastic in #F3Asia. Unfortunately the team will not be competing for the rest of the season as we look to cut costs to support the Formula 1 team. Both drivers will have our full support to pursue other opportunities to fill the gap.

After the news broke recently that the Formula One Grands Prix in Singapore and Japan would be cancelled, the media - both social and traditional - was ablaze with speculation as to the implications for the Formula One World Championship. Far fewer column inches were devoted to the plight of the feeder series, in particular the Formula 3 Asian Championship currently running its inaugural season.
For the teams and drivers in particular, it is a cruel piece of news. Following on from the withdrawal of Theodore Racing's junior team,Danial Frost had secured a drive in his home race. Now, he has no home race. As a result, the teams and drivers now have to wait until31st October for the fourth race of the season: the last race was in Turkey in late June. For many teams and drivers, enough is enough:they have chosen to go and look for opportunities elsewhere rather than wait for the situation to resolve itself and for the series to get

Yes, KCMG will enter the series full-time - but not until 2021. In 2020, they will be Macau Grand Prix guest entrants.
Also, Adelaide Voeckler found herself a drive at Best In The World Kamaha so wouldn't be available for KCMG anyway
IIDOTR - At the positive end of the spectrum, Arjun Maini managed a tremendous victory even as teammate Daruvala continued to struggle, falling right the way out of the points
ROTR - Klaus Vendetta made a good debut, which appears all the better compared to the struggles of Fahad Algosaibi: the Saudi driver managed to fall behind both B-MAX drivers to come in last of the finishers, roughly a second a lap slower then a teammate in his first ever car race
IIDOTR - A few guest entries make the field a little larger, but this was an event absolutely dominated by the home team. K-Apex managed an all-Korean 1-2, with Kwon Sung-Tae taking pole and the win, while Ki-Hyun Song took second place and a fastest lap
ROTR - The ROTR this time around has to be Best In The World, who managed to record an all-mechanical double DNF that made their team name look rather silly.
IIDOTR - Champ Motorsports' guest driver Gabriel Hoffman comes in and collects a grand slam, Luxembourg's best driver since Bertrand Gachot delivering a firm statement that this is a very high-quality series right now.
ROTR - ROTR is definitely Pressley Martono, who finds himself ahead of his Championship-contending teammate and uses that position to hold him up for the entire race and nearly overtaken by Nikita Mazepin coming up to the line
IIDOTR - Hon Chio Leong thoroughly made up for a disappointing home race at Macau with a top-10 result - though he doesn't get any points for it because he's a guest driver.
ROTR - It's not a very good look for Martin Cao; turning up as a 28-year-old with some experience and finishing up in sub-Dragon territory. Very disappointing and slow.
Also, I've not done the maths yet but it seems like a certainty: congratulations to Oscar Piastri on his Formula 3 Championship.
