Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Italy 2022
Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Italy 2022
1. Nyck De Vries. Setting an absolute gold standard for last-minute F1 debuts, an excellent weekend for the lad. Has also likely killed off Latifi's career in one shot.
2. Zhou Guanyu. Finally snapped Alfa's pointless streak, and did so while comprehensively demolishing Bottas.

1. The new Dutchman. Is that the first time two Dutch drivers scored in the same Grand Prix?

de Vries.
Two points on his debut, after finding out he was driving instead of presenting on TV just before FP3.

De Vries: No explanation needed
Zhou: Scored Alfa’s first point since Canada and destroyed so called team leader Bottas
HM: Ricciardo: Best performance since Australia and desperately unlucky not to score.

I'm going to make a wild choice and suggest Nyck de Vries ![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)

Nyck de Vries. Not bad for an impromptu debut.

This is easy: Nyck de Vries for the best debut in ages.
Re: Infinite Improbability Drive of the Race - Italy 2022
Shame for Zhou as scoring points and bossing Bottas gets completely overlooked by Dr Vries (but rightly so)!

De Vries, easily. I've always my doubts on him being a great talent (his F2 years weren't amazing, his title was by far in the worst field post-2013, his FE title was won amidst a shitshow of a year), but he proved me wrong today. Amazing drive.
Zhou was also great to watch today.

1) Nyck De Vries: Excellent race coming in at the last hour.
2) Zhou Guanyu: Well ahead of his much more experienced teammate.

I nominate the legend of two wheels and sort-of-legend of Reject-tastic four wheels and Monza flag-waver Giacomo Agostini, for being Giacomo Agostini.
Though I'm quite grateful that, despite the hatchet job that Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes have been doing on F1 for most of the years beginning with a two, it still doesn't look like the top two categories of Grand Prix motorbike racing did between 1968 and 1970.

De Vries,
Gasly , maybe...good job in a car that isnt that quick, making the most of penalties for others?

I started supporting Emmo in 1976 (3 points )....missed 75, 74, 73, 72...

This is going to be a tough one for all of you out there to decide between these two solid candidates
well at least there were some real feelgood results from this race! The poll is at the top of this thread and it lasts 48 hours
