That was a colossal effort by the boys (how come so few girls are interested in F1?). As someone who has tried to organize people and content on the web before, I can vouch for what a giant pain in the ass it can be to do. Besides all the work, there are the myriad distractions:

  • PRON
  • sports sites
  • PRON
  • news sites
  • PRON
  • on-line learning opportunities
  • PRON

and so on.

So a big hats-off to all involved! I really hope you guys will keep it up.

And just a small content suggestion. Podcasts really seem to do well with just a couple of people contributing at the same time. Since there are so many talented folks who worked on the last one, perhaps one way to keep the quality high, but keep folks from burning out would be to have just 2-3 people work on each podcast. With say 1 podcast for every 3 races, each person might only need to work on 2-3 total over the course of the year. Something to consider.

Thanks again,

Row Man Gross-Gene

Good question, but we do actually have a few girls contributing on this forum, but more would be merrier.

What are you on about? What on earth is PRON? And you're not going to try to sell us on-line learning opportunities are you?

Otherwise welcome, and we all share the sentiments to the job done on the podcast, it was indeed good work. Sharing it might work until (if?) Jamie's return?

Sorry about that, it's just a new interweb way of writing "porn".

Thanks for the welcome, hopefully I won't bring down the average intelligence level too much!

Thanks. And I'ld be careful with too much "PRON" then - don't want to become too short-sighted, otherwise you won't be able to read the wonderful comments on this forum! And my ignorance of internet acronyms comes out of being a member of very few online forums...

Finally got around to listening the podcast. Gonna drop my thoughts here... LIVE!...ish... very late.

First: Enoch, if you mean to pronounce the name Räikkönen one last time... Get a Finn to do it :P

Now onto the podcast proper.

- The soundquality ain't that bad.
- I love The Scottish/Irish/Welsh/whatever accents.
- Dissing Kimi isn't fun :( Even though his speech is a known joke in Finland too :D
- Whoeved has a radio/TV on... it's distracting :(
- Your analysis of Bahrain GP was actually more interesting than the race itself :D
- I could swear that according to Tim, Webber went down Farting.
- Loved the outtakes!
- My main thought... You people agree too much! You need someone who disagrees with you every now and then.

And that'd be me. WHEN (not if) You do a new podcast, I can haz be part of it?
I got Pointed Opinions and I ain't afraid to use em!
F1rejects no.1Räikkönen and Vettel fan.
BTW, thats Räikkönen with two K's and two N's. Not Raikonnen (Raikkonen is fine if you have no umlauts though)

Hey DonTirri, thanks for your comments. I thought I'd respond to a couple of them...

DonTirri wrote:- Whoeved has a radio/TV on... it's distracting :(

I'd say that was ADx_Wales. I tried to get rid of as much of the background noise as possible (including a barking dog  ).

DonTirri wrote:- I could swear that according to Tim, Webber went down Farting.

That'd be the Australian accent. ;)

DonTirri wrote:- My main thought... You people agree too much! You need someone who disagrees with you every now and then.

I agree.

You guys were clearly very nervous at the beginning of the podcast but by the end you seemed to have found your feet, good job for a first effort!

I thought Alex and the Australian guy (Timmy? I am very inattentive with the memory of a goldfish, so no offence that I forgot your name) had a good rapport by the end.

All by bloody jokes were cut for being too bloody Coulthard-esque. Something about Glock trying to take the Lotus' position but the Virgin coming to blows with Trulii instead?

Got around to listening to this. Congratulations all and thank you. The Magners League of podcasts it was, with all those lovely accents!! I love the Welsh accent, I really do. Nothing beats a game of rugby with Jonathan Davies in commentary. And, well done Timmy, too - sterling job, cogent and fluent. The podcast is in good hands for a while.

Cheers Kuwashima, that means a lot to us... (although the meaning of 'cogent' is something I had to clarify first) :)
