An interesting opinion - if you think that Valencia is not the worst track on the calendar, I'm curious to see what you would suggest is the worst circuit. Barcelona, perhaps, which has traditionally produced fairly unexciting races? Or, judging by the fact that you are saying "not any more at least", I assume that we are going to have to go back a few years - are you suggesting one of the more recently dropped tracks, or are we going to have to go back a few decades?

The Bahrain circuit with the new layout is probably the worst.

There's nothing to argue, Häkkinen was the Schumacher to Coulthards Barrichello. It's not that Davie was a bad driver, it's just that Mika was twice the driver he was and more.

My new somewhat unpopular opinion:
Olivier Panis could have, should have and would have been a world champion if it wasn't for his leg breaking smash in Canada.

It would've been nice but I cant see how he would've done it. Prost were never much cop in the years after and its hard to see which of the top teams would've been interested in signing him. Perhaps the pre-Renault Benetton team?

He was considered for the Williams drive at some point and he did test for McLaren in 2000 so if that accident never occured he may have found a top seat somewhere.

True enough but I always thought that testing role was similar to that of De La Rosa. "You can race if theres absolutley no one else available through injury".

What about it? Scored a point in his debut, gave Toro Rosso AND Red Bull their first pole positions and wins, was the biggest challenger for the Brawns on only his SECOND FULL SEASON, as well as making a serious bid for it on his third full season. Has won 7 races, has 13 podiums and 10 pole positions in two and a half seasons, and on this season has suffered the majority of the technical woes of Reb Bull and is still only 7 points behind Webber.

I'd say you aussies just can't deal with the fact that he is better than the whiny censored Webber.

Yes, he is fast. I agree with you there. But he tends to make a fair share of mistakes.

EDIT: This Red Bull rivalry thing really has made it unacceptable for Australians to have other reasons for disliking Vettel.

Well he's collided with Webber not once but twice in the last few years.

Is that an acceptable reason?

Incidentally Instant Mash, welcome to the forum!

For whats its worth Im on your side. In a way. Put it like this, if F1 finished forever today Webber and Vettel would look back on their careers and regret alot of missed opportunities. One of them could have won the title last year (but would they have been worthy winnners? WGAF!) and if neither of them collect a title this year they can blame themselves and their team as they seem to have a car advantage (which means they wont be worthy champions! Again, WGAF).

That sounds scary. :(

Btw, if F1 really would finish forever today, Hamilton would be champion.

Felipe Massa should've ignored the pitwall and won the race. He may have been sacked by Ferrari before the champagne had settled but he would've found a drive somewhere else very easily. His reputation is now in tatters. Ask DC or Rubens, you're not perceived in quite the same way after you, er, roll over like a beeyatch.

At least James Allen had Martin Brundle's back. At times you can hear Brundle glowering, probably thinking why the idiot next to him got the commentating gig. Radio 5 have an excellent commentary team, they're informative and add excitement whereas the BBC people often sound as bored as football fans watching an England match.

The only solution to Team Orders is to eliminate the Driver's Championship and only have a Constructor's Championship. Then it makes no difference who wins the race because the points result will be the same.

Sounds exciting. You'd still have problems with Red Bull ordering Toro Rosso out of the way and Mercedes ordering customers to move over.
