Senna also drove sportscars once. He took part in the 1984 Nurburgring 1000km with Henri Pescarolo, driving a Porsche 956. Pescarolo recalled:
"He came to the track, was 4 seconds faster than me, and left saying "It's heavy, it's slow, not interesting whatsoever.".".

It was brutal indeed-the throttle was stuck open after the initial hit, the sand trap was bedded down due to the rain and the front of the car was completely ripped off before he crashed into the tyre wall. And he was conscious while he was agonising of his injuries. Not nice :?

Cool, calm and collected Japanese racing commentary as Erik Comas teaches the rest of the drivers (in the machines that you win in Gran Turismo 2) how its done.

I remember that one very well - Dino Morelli was an up-and-coming F3000 driver at the time, and in that massive impact he suffered severe foot and ankle injuries which effectively ended his career. That has to be one of the most violent impacts I've ever seen - it's very rare to see a car go clean through an Armco barrier.

You can see his feet and ankles dangling out of the car after he's smashed through the barrier...not nice at all.
