Douglas Mann has advised his manager that he would be interested in driving for Prospec if they are willing to take him on.

Simpson to drive for new Australian Minardi team:
The best kept secret in F1RWRS is out; Dave Simpson will drive for Paul Stoddart's new Australian Minardi team. "I had met with Paul at the Adelaide race and he told me he was thinking about running a team. When he confirmed that he was running a team I got on the phone to him and offered to drive for him". Simpson had previously tested for Minardi F1 from 2003-2005.

RTJ Racing Press Release 23rd October 2010
The official announcement of RubberTex-Jones Racing's entrance into the forthcoming F1 Rejects World Race Series.
Tex Pearson and Sammy Jones are proud to reveal the plans for RTJ Racing in time for the new F1RWRS season. RTJ Racing is a brand new, professional outfit that will be constructing and operating it's cars out of it's state-of-the-art complex based in Banbury, England. The new chassis will be the RTJ-100 and will be powered by an exclusive supply of V6 turbo engines from French car manufacturer Renault, with whom the team have formed a special partnership with for the season. Along with the engines, Renault will also provide technical assistance at every race, and in return the company will feature it's logos on the car prominantly alongside Tex Pearson's own rubber chicken manufacturing firm, RubberTex Enterprises. Driving the number one car will be last season's 10th place finisher, Formula One driver and part team owner Sammy Jones, with the second seat still available to prospective drivers interested in becoming part of this highly competitive and skilled team.

We managed to finish on the podium three times and to show an impressive qualifying form, we also finished in the first places of the team standings, a terrific achievement for a team with only one car!

Season 2011 of the Formula 1 Rejects World Race Series is about to get underway, as the teams pack up their stuff and head to Donington Park for the first testing session. Throughout the off-season, the teams have remained tight lipped about their driver lineups, but most teams have officially announced their drivers.
Team Calinetic will retain Gary Cameron, and will thus have the 1 and 2 on their cars. They have sacked Phoenix McAllister after several poor performances, despite taking a 4th place in the final race at Eastern Creek. They have confirmed the signing of young Belgian Thomas De Bock, who, despite several poor performances for Rosenforth Engineering, will take the #2 car.
Prospec, the reigning team champions, will have the #3 and #4, and will keep the same driver lineup of Nathanael Spencer and David Koczo.
Club Bangelia Racing have announced that James Davies will continue with the team, but Dan BH has not returned calls, and his seat is likely to go to West Cliff refugee Douglas Mann.
Rosenforth Engineering have effectively completed a straight swap with Team Calinetic, with De Bock being replaced by McAllister. Frank Zimmer will remain at the team.
Pacchia-Coswojuddhartlambo and it's owner/driver, Luca Pacchiarini, have been campaigning to have a second car on the
grid for this season, but no-one has accepted the offer as yet.
While JLD Motorsport will retain Daniel Melrose, Dave Simpson has gone off to better things, and the second seat is still open.
CR Motorsport have confirmed that Darren Older Jr will remain at the team, but Ashley Watkinson is still considering options.
West Cliff were without any drivers for a short time, but have confirmed that Hagane Shizuka will join them.
KQ Motor Sport have lost Shizuka, and Adam Lewis has not yet confirmed his position.
The last-placed team, Kahama Motor Sport, has arguably done the best, with both Kay Lon and Simon redman remaining with
the team.
Next season will also see the addition of three new teams, and it is possible that more will follow. First to confirm their entry was 4 Loko Hemogoblin Autowerks, with T. Hemo Goblin as the driver. The next team was RubberTex-Jones Racing, where Sammy Jones has gone from West Cliff racing. They will field two cars, as they announced that Chris Dagnall, who had two races this year with JLD Motorsport covering for an "injured" Melrose, would drive for the team. The most recent announcement was that of Australian Minardi, a revival of the Minardi name by Paul Stoddart, with Dave Simpson as the
driver.
The other announcement this week was of the calendar for next season. It has been increased from 9 to 15 races, with 7
new tracks, and one old one disappearing. The calendar looks like this:
Norisring, Hockenheim, Oschersleben, Nurburgring, Spa-Francorchamps, Silverstone, Snetterton, Brands Hatch, Zandvoort,
Adelaide, Bathurst, Eastern Creek, Surfers Paradise, Shanghai, and finally the finale at Laguna Seca.
Bahrain has been dropped, despite the wishes of David Koczo, who won the race. Amid threats of being forced to go home, the F1RWRS management have added Norisring to the list, as well as Bathurst, Surfers Paradise and Laguna Seca, which all met large support from the drivers. Zandvoort, Brands Hatch and Snetterton were also added.
With about 24 drivers and 15 races, this is surely going to become a very successful series.
And I want more opinions, this time on the points system. Our champion did not win a race. That cannot be a good sign...

What about the BTCC points system:
Points are awarded to the top ten drivers in each race as follows :
1st = 15 pts
2nd = 12 pts
3rd = 10 pts
4th = 8 pts
5th = 6 pts
6th = 5 pts
7th = 4 pts
8th = 3 pts
9th = 2 pts
10th = 1 pt
An extra point is awarded to the driver who sets the fastest lap of each race.
A bonus point is awarded to each driver who is classified as leading a lap, though no driver may collect more than one point per race no matter how many laps they lead.
A bonus point is also given to the driver who lines up on pole position after the qualifying session.

Well, I'd like to put an Italian round on the calendar, but there are no Italian tracks. It doesn't have any Japanese tracks either. And Laguna Seca is the American road course (Gateway Road and Nashville Road don't count).

Talk about random. In the testing at Donington last year, the cars did around 1:10 to 1:15, but now, some of them did less than a minute. The most was 1:01. Both were in the dry, with the same cars. Anyway, after a very iffy season, Daniel Melrose came out with sonething to prove, and set the fastest time of the weeked with a 0:59.38. Both Prospecs were right up there, as was reigning champion Gary Cameron. Notable exceptions were Frank Zimmer, who had a dismal test, and was the slowest, as well as Luca Pacchiarini, who couldn't find any speed. Of the new teams, 4 Loko Hemogoblin Autowerks was the fastest, with T. Hemo Goblin setting the equal fourth fastest time. The Australian Minardi of Dave Simpson was 8th, and the RubberTex-Jones cars of Chris Dagnall and Sammy Jones were 14th and 17th. The new Trueba Racing Team's Giovanni Roda was 15th.

Oh plums. Unable to find a seat at one of last year's leading teams, Douglas Mann went out on a limb and formed his own team, Anglo-Manx Racing (AMR) (considering how officially he was Manx and how his sister, Pippa, who would be team manager and reserve driver, was English). The team would be based in Peel on the Isle of Man and race in red, the same colour as the Manx flag, with the triskelion on the engine cover.

RubberTex-Jones Racing Press Release - Post-Donington Test Session
Sammy Jones, 17th:
We've had quite a productive session today despite what the times might suggest, our mechanics alongside those from Renault have worked together to get a feel for the Renault engine, and how it's behaving with the chassis. We've managed to get a lot of setup work done with the dry weather, and with the further test sessions planned, we're confident that by the arrival of the first race, we'll be in a much stronger position on the timesheet. Initial impressions of the car and engine look good. The car is relatively simple to set up, and the Renault engine looks to be packing a punch down the straights. The pack as a whole is incredibly close, so we're not concerned at all with being 14th and 17th.

We're all delighted to see the new RubberTex cars out on track for the first time, and the longer season this year will provide us with plenty of opportunities to develop the car and win races. I'm really excited to see how both Sammy and Chris get on over the course of the year. Test Session the Second - Mondello Park
Since Zandvoort is now on the race calendar, Mondello Park in Ireland was used to fill the test void. A surprising driver was the fastest, as certified F1RWRS reject Darren Older Jr topped the charts, with Frank Zimmer being beaten by only one hundredth of a second. Kahama's Simon Redman was third fastest. The best of the newbies was this time Australian Minardi, beating Hemogoblin Autowerks, and RubberTex's Chris Dagnall. Giovanni Roda was equal 12th fastest with two-time F1 world champ and fastest driver at Donington Daniel Melrose. The newest of the newbies, Anglo-Manx Racing, with Douglas Mann behind the wheel, was 18th. Rumours are abound that JLD Motorsport is looking to be bought out by a certain F1 champ and be renamed, however these are yet to be confirmed. It is also thought that KQ Motor Sport, who still haven't got a driver, may in fact pull out altogether.
