Re: So you think you know F1
Without using wiki. (If anyone uses Wiki in the quiz I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN
)
1. I'm going with c. Jody Schekter although I really don't know
2. Easy one A. Mark Donahue
3. D. 4th. Hell would have frozen over if he finished on the poduim
4. A. Jochen Rindt. It's basically a game of spot the odd one out since Rindt was killed in Monza before he officially became champion in 1970 (He was leading the championship at the time)
5. B. Monza. Too easy. A race has been held there every championship bar 1980 when the Italian GP was at Imola.
6. I don't know this one so I'm going with C. 9
7. B. Dan Gurney. Rosberg won in '82 (I think), Pryce in '75 (I think) and Peterson in the mid 70s (I think)
8. D. Joachim Winkelhock. It's down to the number of races entered and started really. I know Deletraz entered atleast 3 and Winkelhock only once but not sure about the other 2.
9. D. 7. I was doing a draft of the Alternative 1994 World Championship last night and assuming that A is not meant to be 7 and D is I'll go D

Re: So you think you know F1
1 - Niki Lauda (I know he did, I've read about this race in AutoSprint)
2 - Peter Revson (1973, driving a McLaren, he won 2 races that year, including the Silverstone crash-fest; Mark Donohue never won a race; Phil Hill last won in 1961; haven't got a clue who Joe Castellano is)
3 - Haven't got a clue (I've heard of the race but I have no idea of the classification. Was he driving in Formula 2 at the time?)
4 - Alan Jones (Rindt drove at Indy, I know Surtees drove at least one race because he told me so at Goodwood a few years back; oh crap, it's a coin toss between Jones and Hill, I know Jones drove CanAm but I'm not sure about Indycars and I'[m not entirely sure Hill drove at Indy after retiring from F1)
5 - I'll go with Monza. Monza was an active circuit active before Monaco and Silverstone held its first race in 1948. Spa dates from roughly the same time but there was a period without races there as the track was being changed from the long configuration to the shorter one. Also, there were Belgian GPs held at Zolder and Nivelles.
6 - 7 (I'll go with the smallest number, as non-championship Grand Prixs were getting considerably scarcer in 1971 than they were in the mid-sixties)
7 - Dan Gurney
8 - Claudio Langes (highest number of DNPQ and no race starts)
9 - 6 (Let's see: Johnny Herbert and Pedro Lamy started the season; Lamy crashed at Silverstone and was replaced by Alessandro Zanardi; Lotus needed money so they got Philippe Addams; Herbert's contract was bought by Briatore and he was placed at Ligier; Eric Bernard came across from Ligier; Mika Salo drove the last 2 races).
So how did I do?

Re: So you think you know F1
Without looking at other people's answers.
1. C. Schekter
2. I would've thought Phil Hill.
3. No idea. 3rd?
4. A. Rindt
5. C. Monaco because it's never been off the calendar as far as I know.
6. A lot. I'm going to say A. 8 pure guess.
7. D. Keke - another pure guess.
8. B. Langes. Never pre-qualified in almost a full season (14 or 15 attempts I think). Weidler and Winkelhock might have the same number of starts (ie. nonewhatsoever), but in less attempts (I THINK). And Deletraz, despite possibly being the slowest qualified in all 3 races he tried.
9. Okay... Lamy. Herbert. Zanardi. Adams. Salo. And there's one more, could be whoever was at Liger when Herbert briefly moved there from Lotus, and I can't check who that is without cheating. I'm saying C. 6.
Question 10. How many teams in 1994 didn't have a driver change?
A. 0
B. 5
C. 2
D. 4
Name which ones for extra points.

I think they are 4. Tyrrell, Minardi, Pacific and McLaren. If I do remember well...
Sorry guys, I had a little outing.
Re: So you think you know F1
It's four but replace McLaren with Arrows. Häkkinen was suspended and replaced by Alliot in Hungarian GP.
