I haven't seen anything reporting Adrian Sutil is going to Virgin. In fact, it sounds like bullshite to me. He's remaining with Force India, I'm sure.

Lesson learned... use a windtunnel..

The windtunnel wasn't Virgin's problem this year.

Oh boy... I want Liuzz to stay, but it's looking grim :(. I'm sure that if he stays for 2011, he'll do much better. 2010 was his first full season since 2007. Come on Vijay, give him another chance.

The problem is, he was F3000 champion, and people expect a lot from GP2/F3000/F2 champions. He didn't do amazingly in 2007, but he did show promise when he replaced Fisi, which meant the expectations were much higher. He didn't do too badly early on, but then he just fell back to Earth. I'm afraid he'll have to go.

I've heard Force India is considering Hulkenberg-di Resta. Apparently the team will buy Liuzzi out of his contract and replace him with di Resta, whilst it seems Mallya isn't thrilled with Sutil's constant talk of moving up to bigger and better teams.

Sutil to Virgin? Interesting.
Also, Hamilton apparently gets 3 and Button gets 4, they will get the proper numbers.

Sounds like sense to me. My money's on this line-up, with Sutil going to Mercedes for the reserve driver role, which I've believed for months now anyway. He certainly won't go to Virgin as Glock is all but confirmed, saying that his drive with Virgin next year is 100% certain. That leaves the second seat at Virgin for whom I'm pretty sure will be Aleshin after the recent tie-ups with Marussia. Of course Petrov will remain at Renualt, STR will have Buemi and Algersaurus with Ricciardo doing Friday practices, leaving just HRT who we don't even know if they'll be on the grid next year.

Sorted! :)

I would like to see a Hulkenberg and Di Resta line-up, with Chandhok as 3rd driver possibly. I would be very surprised if he doesn't drive the Indian GP for someone, even if he isn't driving full time.

Nor is Liuzzi.

Everyone's crashed before. Liuzzi does it a couple times and he's reject of the year. Petrov does, and no one cares. Liuzzi outperformed by his teammate, RoTY, Petrov outperformed, no one cares, he did a good job. Liuzzi out-qualifies Sutil, no one cares, Petrov does, good job Vitaly. I know what you're all gonna say, Petrov is a rookie. This is Liuzzi's first full season in F1 since 2007, after missing out all of 2008 and most of 2009. Give him another chance, i'm sure next year, he'll straighten up.

What was Liuzzi doing when he wasn't crashing? Being slow most of the time. One or two good showings but nothing great.
Was Liuzzi's teammate impressive? Not particularly.
What was Petrov doing when he wasn't crashing? Showing improvements in his pace.
Was Petrov's teammate impressive? Petrov's teammate was probably the most impressive driver in F1 this year in a team with a long history of using #1 and #2 drivers.

However, I think Liuzzi is a more interesting backmarker than, say, Glock, Trulli, or Kovalainen if only because he has the nickname 'The King of Bling'.

What do you call slow? I don't think he's ever dropped below a second of Sutil in qualifying before. Sutil is a great driver. One of the most under-rated drivers on the grid. He's probably as good as Hamilton. Not much improvements Liuzzi could do, and his teammate is a very good driver, whose been with the team since Spyker days. That Liuzzi can ever beat Sutil in qualifying or race is impressive. Liuzzi is so overly-under-rated.

You could say Liuzzi to me is like Petrov to Hammer. :D

What matters here is that Vitantonio Liuzzi was 90% of the time behind Adrian Sutil, which he isn't that great a driver, and definately not overrated. He's not as good as Lewis Hamilton by miles and miles and miles...in fact, Hamilton crushed Sutil in F3 Euroseries when they were in the same team.

I don't like how everyone sees Hamilton as the F1 god or something and is the best evarr. Of course he is a great driver, but it seems like saying that anyone is as good as him is a sin. If Sutil was at McLaren, he probably wouldn't equal Hamilton, but I think he'd do as good as Button has, or better perhaps.

I like Sutil as well, but I wouldn't say he was as good as Button - I couldn't see Sutil pulling out an opening to a season like Jenson did in 2009 in any car. I would say he'd probably be about halfway between Kovalainen and Button, performance-wise

I hate Lewis Hamilton religiously and I somewhat like Sutil but on a level playing field Waaahmilton would beat Sutil unless he wrecks trying to be awesome on the first lap.

Silly season predictions?

Pedro de la Rosa to Campos. He was negotiating with them last November but backed out. Maybe now no-one else wants him, he will stoop that low.

Antonio Felix da Costa as the new Force India test driver.

Peace out.

I think this is just a cousin helping out a cousin in getting a seat next year. But he may be right. I'd be happy if Di Resta gets the seat he deserves, as long as he doesn't replace Liuzzi.

Well, di Resta did happen to beat Vettel in 2006 to the title when they were in the same team, with the same amount of experience, in the F3 Euroseries, so I can kind of see what Franchitti is getting at. Besides, di Resta has also looked pretty good in testing/free practise sessions at Force India, and completely outshone Liuzzi in the post season Pirelli test sessions, so Force India might well believe that he is worth giving a go.
As to whether he should or should not replace Liuzzi, personally I think that that Liuzzi should be replaced - he was quite error prone at the beginning of the season, and lacked consistency in terms of outright pace - although I suspect that you will disagree with that assessment.
