I think we'll use the same carset for next season (unless of course the majority of entrants want to use a different carset) and the same game settings (I wouldn't be able to change the settings anyway given that I don't have Kool Tools). As for ROTY and IIDOTY, we'll determine them by voting in this thread or in the BATracer driver chat.

Heres the entry list for next season (at the moment it is just going off what has been posted in the Silly Season Driver Chat topic and the teams from last season so it is all unconfirmed at this time). Car numbers in this list are going off the results for this season (not that it really matters anyway), so I have to give a spoiler alert and the higher placed driver from Season 1 will recieve the lower car number. Also, new players are most definately welcome to join next season - hopefully giving us a bigger grid.

Please confirm your entry by posting in this thread. Confirmed entries will be in bold.

I've just set up the game for season 2 and I have included the game information and password in this post. Remember: Do NOT join the game unless you have confirmed which team you will be driving for.
______________

Players will need to be registered and logged in before they can enter the private game. When logged in, clicking the following URL will take you to the join game page:

http://batracer.com/-cj?&D&57714

Alternatively, you can select "private games" from the menu and enter the number "57714" into the box. The game password is "HWNSNBM". Take care not to accidentally join a public game by mistake.

I think I'll take a "sabbatical" from this season, but hopefully it won't end up like Häkkinen's sabbatical did. I lacked some commitment in the last few races, so I'll have to ponder if I want to start another season. Besides, my interest in this game in general has waned.

No. Maybe Sauber did something naughty that warrented the removal of their win but as Brodie Steen could not have known about it or prevented it, then his win is allowed to stand. Maybe?

We had a win taken from the team after we were caught using team orders.

However I will do a Schumacher and request number 8 as 7 is my unlucky number!

Is anyone updating this? Might as well update this to Istanbul-Not Constantinople Standings then.

DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP
1. Daniel MELROSE (Mercedes): 110 points (1 win, 5 podiums)
2. Kay LON (Williams): 107 points (2 wins, 4 podiums)
3. Tristan JUNG (Williams): 77 points (1 win, 2 podiums)
4. Liam CAPP (Mclaren): 76 points (1 win, 2 podiums)
5. Eero HURMERINTA (Mclaren): 74 points (2 podiums, Best result: 2nd)
6. Rhys DAVIES (Mercedes): 54 points (1 podium, Best result: 3rd)
7. Brodie STEEN (Sauber): 49 points (2 podiums, Best result: 2nd)*
8. Nikolai MULLER (Force India): 46 points (1 win)*
9. Scott MASER (Lotus): 44 points (1 win)*
10. James CLARKE (Virgin): 35 points (Best result: 4th)
11. Craig COLLIE (Renault): 21 points (1 podium, Best result: 3rd)*
12. Jeroen KRAUTEMIR (Virgin): 15 points (Best result: 5th)

CONSTRUCTORS CHAMPIONSHIP
1. Williams 184 points
2. Mercedes 163 points
3. Mclaren 150 points
4. Virgin 50 points
5. Sauber 49 points*
6. Force India 46 points*
7. Lotus 44 points*
8. Renault 21 points*

*denotes single-car team

ROTR:
Bahrain: Jeroen Krautemir (for turning into Melrose from last year by crashing into everybody)
Australia: Brodie Steen (for wrecking everyone on the first lap)
Malaysia: Craig Collie and Rhys Davies (Collie for dropping like a rock and Davies for being the only DNF)
China: Jeroen Krautemir (For not showing up and DNF'ing)
Spain: Craig Collie (Qualified 5th, then crashed out on Lap 2)
Monaco: Eero Hurmerinta (for crashing into Collie and having a bad strategy)
Turkey: not decided yet

IIDOTR:
Bahrain: Williams (for showing why Clarke and Rhys were useless)
Australia: Muller (won the race in a single car team! Incredible!)
Malaysia: Williams (for winning the race and proving themselves as competitors from being ROTY last year)
China: Williams (double podium, honorable mention to Melrose for coming up through the field to get 2nd.)
Spain: Steen (for winning with a single-car team)
Monaco: Maser (for his shocking win in the Lotus, of course!)
Turkey: not decided yet

So far, Melrose is holding onto a slim championship lead, however, the story of the year has to be Williams, who went from awful to first place! Also, this has been the year of the 1-car team so far, with 3 single drivers winning races. I think everyone's looking forward to the rest of the season!

Europe: Williams Transmission (For eliminating Lon on lap 1)

IIDOTR:
Bahrain: Williams (For showing why Clarke and Rhys were useless)
Australia: Nikolai Muller (Won the race in a single car team! Incredible!)

Monaco: Scott Maser (For his shocking win in the Lotus, of course!)
Turkey: Craig Collie (For hauling his Renault to the final podium spot in an ultra-close race)
Canada: Kay Lon (For finishing 4th after a pitstop from hell)
Europe: Craig Collie (Started from last on the grid, made 7 overtaking manouvers on a track where overtaking is impossible and finished a respectable 5th)

The story of the past 2 races has been the resurgence of McLaren as Capp and Hurmerinta took consecutive 1-2 finishes to haul both themselves and the McLaren team into championship contention.

So seeing that the season will probably end before all of the new 2011 cars are out, how's about we try something different for the next game? Like CART/Indycar for instance, or one of those classic F1 seasons?

Maybe we could do the Indy 500 to bump up interest (From memory it's only 6 days long so it won't be too much of a drag on people who don't have that much time).

Failing that I'm putting my vote for the 1997 carset.

(In F1C, I won 1998-1999, 2001 with Prost, then 2002-2005 with Williams. My debut was in 1997, and I lost to Michael, and in 2000 I lost to Alex Wurz of all people!)
