Wow! A Fernando is faster than you T-Shirt! Thanks!
I'm off to the Red Bull stand to see if they have a Not Bad for a Number 2 Driver shirt.

I'll go check McLaren for a "save fuel" T-shirt, and Mercedes for a "be sensible" T-shirt.

As usual, Felipe Massa organized his annual Desafio das Estrelas (Stars Challenge) in Florianópolis, Brazil. This year, we didn't have Felipe's buddy, Schummy, and the only foreigner was Alguersuari. Still, it is good to see some drivers relaxed and participating in an event just for the fun of it. Di Grassi won the 2010 Challenge after Barrichello lost the lead in the second race to a surprising Bia Figueiredo. Some of the pictures of the event.

Doctor Who Who watches that?

Bia Figueiredo races in America under the name Ana Beatriz.

Seconded. With such a big talent pool, why doesn't brazil have a series similar to F3000? As far as I can tell, their highest single seater series is South American Formula 3.

That's absolute rubbish, you know that!

Well, this could be worth several paragraphs of explanation, so I will try to keep it short. We had a pool of talents, but it is drying under the utter incompetence of our local Autoracing Association (CBA). In 1990, the Sudam F-3 had a 20+ grid and drivers like Christian Fittipaldi, Tarso Marques and Hélio Castroneves were frontrunners at the time. Forti Corse would send drivers from Europe to Brazil so they would gain more driving experience in races of a duration of 1 hour. We had below F-3, F-Ford and if I am not mistaken F-Chevrolet. Now, if there are more than 10 in the grid, it can be considered a success, while Massa is trying to setup F-Future category. Yes, the Argentinean drivers acted Rejectworthly back in 1993, which threw the category into disrepute, but it is no excuse to let this category die like others have in Brazil in the past 20 years. There is a very poor promotion, widespread corruption and no commitment in the CBA. They like to hail the Stock Cars (V8) category as a big success, but it is part of the motor netherworld, a cemetery for those who failed in Europe and USA.
In 1990, Brazil underwent a severe economical crisis, while now the economy is on track (so far). We had only 4 manufacturers in the country, now we have more than 8. It is unexcusable what is going on. Brazil urgently needs someone to again approach the manufacturers to establish a new base category. We need better promoters for our base categories, so people will actually know that they exist and stop this cult to the graveyard category. We need to do a seance session to ressurect Jacarepagua or start thinking about a new track in Rio de Janeiro, we cannot let the second largest city in the country be bereft of a track. If we don't do that, in 5 years, maybe we won't see any Brazilian drivers in the grid. It is sad.
Anyway, sorry for the rant!

For 2011, I hope I can see Bia (aka Ana Beatriz) signing with Dreyer and Reinbold.

They aren't racing in this photograph. Look at the background, all the karts sideways are warming their tires up.

A rare sneak peek at the car redesigns for the 2011 F1 season.
Some say he plans to put an S921 on the Goodwood 2012 run, and that he DOES know what Deletraz is doing.
All we know is...he's called Perry McCarthy!
...we'll never see an S921 at Goodwood, will we?

Peppy Hare's advice of doing barrel rolls to deflect enemy fire does not apply to Formula 1, Robert.
No truth to the rumor that getting run over repeatedly by the same car in the same thread motivated Scott Speed to switch to NASCAR.
