thehemogoblin wrote:Baker, we're in the market for a mostly white monocoque with small green polka dots (or, if that's not available, thin green stripes). There should be Krispy Kreme logos on the front wing endplate and taking up most of the engine cover. Then, add a red stripe down the top of the sidepod line all the way down the car, and then one at the top of the airbox down to the rear wing. The wing endplates (and rear wing) should be red.

And can we get Goodyear tires on this beast?

Thanks!

Done my best. And I DID manage to get two Goodyear tyres onto it - two right-hand-side tyres! Can be altered if you want! (Except the tyres!)

RACE #2 - OSCHERSLEBEN
Qualifying:

Two years ago, Australian Frank Zimmer took his second career pole at Oschersleben, but finished the race in second place. His new teammate Rhys Davies took his first pole, and hopes to go one better than Zimmer by taking his first win in his first start, the first to do so since Ashley Watkinson won the first ever F1RWRS race. Elsewhere, MAN/AMR fans were disappointed when Pippa and Douglas qualified at opposite ends of the grid, robbing them of another brilliant spectacle. Jeroen Krautmeir continued his good qualifying run by putting his MRT in 3rd, with Gary Cameron 4th. The surprise was Jari Kekkonen, who put the ArrowTech in a brilliant 5th place.

1st: NAB-HRT - Rhys DAVIES: 0:50.91
2nd: Anglo-Manx Racing - Pippa MANN: +0.04
3rd: MRT-BMW - Jeroen KRAUTMEIR: +0.14
4th: Team Calinetic - Gary CAMERON: +0.21
5th: ArrowTech Racing - Jari KEKKONEN: +0.30
6th: Kahama Motor Sport - Kay LON: +0.46
7th: Australian Minardi - Dave SIMPSON: +0.49
8th: Hemogoblin Autowerks - T. HEMO GOBLIN: +0.59
9th: Anglo-Manx Racing - James DAVIES: +0.71
10th: NAB-HRT - Frank ZIMMER: +0.80
11th: Manx-Anglo-Nippon - Hagane SHIZUKA: +0.88
12th: Trueba Racing - Tristan JUNG: +0.98
13th: RubberTex-Jones - Sammy JONES: +1.08
14th: ArrowTech Racing - Daniel MARTINS: +1.18
15th: Equipe de Course Belge - Thomas DE BOCK: +1.34
16th: Trueba Racing - Giovanni RODA: +1.34
17th: O'Lauchlan Motorsports - Dean O'LAUCHLAN: +1.49
18th: Manx-Anglo-Nippon - Douglas MANN: +1.55
19th: SAFTPHonda - Barii MORI: +1.59

Race:
Lap 1:
The only changes off the line were Simpson and Kekkonen swapping 5th and 7th and Frank Zimmer passing James Davies for 9th. By the end of the lap, Krautmeir had passed Pippa Mann for second, Simpson was up to 4th, Cameron down to 5th, Zimmer falling back to 12th, with Shizuka 9th, Davies 10th and Jung 11th and Jones losing 13th to Martins. Rhys Davies, however, led the field over the line for the first time.
Lap 2:
But he didn’t lead for long as a mistake at turn 1 saw Krautmeir and Mann get ahead. The usual mid pack had formed, with Kekkonen at its head in 6th, and Zimmer bringing up the rear in 12th.
Lap 3:
Hemo Goblin and Zimmer start to fall away from the pack, which is still led by Kekkonen.
Lap 4:
Lon now leads the pack, while Krautmeir still leads the race and the only pass outside of the pack is Cameron taking 4th back from Simpson.
Lap 5:
Krautmeir is starting to pull a lead over Mann, while Davies has Cameron and Simpson closing in. The top 5 have a few seconds over the pack, which is still led by Lon.
Lap 6:
Simpson makes a big mistake at the chicane, and allows Lon to take 5th place and is swallowed by the pack. Lon takes the opportunity to break away and resumes Simpson’s role of pressuring Cameron and Davies. Kekkonen starts to fall back, now down in 11th.
Lap 7:
James Davies now leads the pack, just ahead of Simpson.
Lap 9:
Pippa Mann starts to reel in Krautmeir. Otherwise, nothing’s happening. Well, apart from Barii Mori falling way back from the 18th placed Douglas Mann.
Lap 10:
Lon runs off at the chicane and James Davies finds himself in 5th place, and immediately catches Cameron and Rhys Davies. Mann also makes a mistake and her efforts to catch Krautmeir are wasted, but she holds second.
Lap 11:
James Davies passes Cameron for 4th at the third corner, while Simpson continues a backward slide, dropping to 9th, behind Shizuka.
Lap 12:
Rhys Davies makes another mistake at turn 1 and drops to 5th, with James Davies creating a possible double podium for AMR. Kay Lon is now 4th as Gary Cameron starts to fall off the pace. While Davies is just staying ahead of the pack, Cameron is trying to take the lead of it from Sammy Jones.
Lap 13:
James Davies passes Pippa Mann for second, while Cameron succeeds in taking 6th place.
Lap 14:
Lon takes third from Mann while Davies is now right behind Krautmeir. Mori continues to fall behind, now 18 seconds away from Douglas Mann.
Lap 15:
James Davies passes Krautmeir for the lead, while Cameron passes Rhys Davies for 5th.
Lap 16:
Pippa Mann takes third back from Lon, while Cameron and Davies battle for 5th.
Lap 17:
Hagane Shiuzka ruins that battle when he passes Davies. Pippa Mann is right behind Krautmeir again, looking for way into 2nd place.
Lap 18:
Once again Mann makes a mistake at the chicane and lets Krautmeir get away, while Davies passes Shizuka and Lon for 5th, with Cameron also passing Lon to take 4th.
Lap 19:
A big mistake from James Davies sees Krautmeir take the lead and Pippa Mann get right on his tail. Barii Mori is now very close to being lapped, and is the better part of 20 seconds behind Douglas Mann. Rhys Davies is now 4th, with Shizuka 5th, and the rest of the mid pack right behind him.
Lap 20:
And James Davies back in the lead, with Krautmeir second and Rhys Davies third, after he passed Pippa at turn 3. Mori is only a second away from being lapped.
Lap 21:
And a lap down he goes, as Davies and Krautmeir both pass him on the back straight. Pippa Mann is back in third with Davies 4th and the pack still close behind.
Lap 23:
Cameron fights his way out of the pack to catch Davies and Mann. Mori has now been lapped by the top 12 drivers, with Jung now trying to find a way past.
Lap 24:
Cameron tries to pass Davies, but contact means he drops to 8th, while Davies only loses one spot, to Shizuka, but the pack is now upon him. The current order is:
J. Davies, Krautmeir, P. Mann, Shizuka, R. Davies, Jones, Simpson, Cameron, Lon, Hemo Goblin, Kekkonen, Zimmer, Jung, Martins, De Bock, Roda, O’Lauchlan, D. Mann and Mori.
Lap 25:
Davies gets away from the pack, and catches up to Shizuka. Simpson now leads the pack in 6th place.
Lap 26:
Davies passes Shizuka for 4th place. On the road, Mori is ahead of Martins, who hasn’t been able to get close enough to lap him, and actually lost ground on the last lap.
Lap 27:
Shizuka passes Davies for 4th place. Pippa Mann is once again right behind Krautmeir, looking to make the pass for second.
Lap 29:
Davies and Shizuka continue to battle for 4th, with the Aussie coming out on top on this lap.
Lap 30:
Finally, Pippa Mann passes Krautmeir! Sammy Jones is now 6th, and along with Cameron has broken away from the pack, leaving the 7th placed Dave Simpson at its head. After 30 laps, we see our first pit stop - Hagane Shizuka, whose tyres are so worn out it’s pretty much just the rims he’s driving on. Tristan Jung also pits for a fresh tyres. And Daniel Martins. And Giovanni Roda. And Dean O’Lauchlan. And Douglas Mann.
Lap 31:
But all of the leaders stay out on the next lap, putting the stoppers a lap down. Krautmeir takes second place back from Mann at turn 3. Sammy Jones and Barii Mori pit.
Lap 32:
Virtually every leader stops, which means that the leader is now… Jari Kekkonen!
Lap 33:
Kekkonen pits, but is far enough ahead that he is technically leading the lap. After the order is cleansed, the race leader is… Pippa Mann, after a blindingly quick pit stop puts her ahead of James Davies! Kay Lon is now third, Dave Simpson 4th, Jeroen Krautmeir 5th, Hagane Shizuka 6th, Gary Cameron 7th, Rhys Davies 8th, Sammy Jones 9th and T. Hemo Golin 10th, with the last few drivers forced to wait before they could leave. Jari Kekkonen emerged in 11th, where he had been before the stops.
Lap 34:
Mann leads her first lap of the race, with Kay Lon now up to second, Hagane Shizuka 3rd, Jeroen Krautmeir 4th and James Davies 5th after a mistake at the last corner nearly sent him down pit lane. Dave Simpson also ran wide a few corners earlier, dropping to 8th. Kekkonen passes Hemo Goblin for 10th on the back straight.
Lap 35:
Shizuka passes Lon for second, while Davies passes Krautmeir for fourth. Kekkonen passes Rhys Davies for 9th, but they are both in the midst of a reshuffled pack.
Lap 37:
Lon makes a mistake at turn 1, and allows Davies into third and Krautmeir into fourth.
Lap 38:
The gap from Mann to Hemo Goblin, the last driver in the pack, is just 4 seconds, so if a driver were to go on a charge, they stand to make a lot of spots in a short time. For example, Kay Lon is now second, while Rhys Davies is now 5th.
Lap 39:
Hemo Goblin drops out of the pack, leaving Jeroen Krautmeir at the back.
Lap 40:
The second-to-last lap, and Pippa Mann has a very small lead over Lon, who himself has Shizuka right under his wing, meaning this could be as epic a finish as Laguna Seca last year.
Lap 41:
The key word was “could”, as Pippa Mann takes victory, with Kay Lon second in front of his home crowd and Hagane Shizuka crossing third. Rhys Davies would be fourth in his first start, edging out fellow Aussie Dave Simpson.

1st: Pippa Mann (Anglo-Manx Racing): 43:13.85

A MESSAGE TO THOSE WHO FOLLOW INDYCAR:

This is a list of the IndyCar drivers on V8SC3, and I want to know how these drivers did in the 2005 season, so I know who is more competitive when it comes to the Indy 500.

The field was very close, and I made a mistake on the final corner in my out lap, so I lost some time there probably, ultimatingly throwing me back in qualifying. Anyway, the race was very close, and I managed to finish in third place! Congrats for the first two, I enjoyed this close fight.

Until the last few laps of the race, I genuinely thought AMR and MAN were in with a chance of locking out ther podium! But AMR are leading the Constuctors' while Pippa wins her first race and takes the lead of the Drivers' Championship. Huzzah.

And let's just forget about Douglas - he's just upset at how badly at how he did at the Nurburgring in the Gran Turismo Challenge. H e really thought he had a real chance there...

Sammy Jones wrote:Well I'm very pleased to have had a very strong race at Oschersleben, having qualified in the midfield, the first part of the race went well and I worked my way up well inside the top 10. The pit stop wasn't the best, but still I won't complain about a top 10 finish. I'm feeling better about this season in comparison to last, already I've qualified for both races comfortably, and run well in them too. The only thing left for the team is to understand why Chris is suffering so badly. However I'm sure over the next race or two we can really give him a boost and get both of our cars into the race.

I've had solid races so far, so that's a good benchmark for the season, but we can't understand what's happening to Aurelien, who hasn't even scored a point in the Suzuki cup. Anyway, we have a car upgrade that we'll bring to the next race, and we sincerely hope that it'll get us higher up the field.

Ashley Watkinson wrote:I think we can safely say that the car has a few problems to iron out at the moment. It's a bit of an embarrassment that I couldn't qualify for the race, and then it was bamboozling that the boss could score pole in pre-qualifying and then not get any points in the race. The car seems to have a narrow operating range for the tyres, and it's a travesty that our deal with Goodyear didn't go through because the car was tailored to their specifications.

The Honda Honda RA007E being probably slower then the Mugen Honda MF303AZ according to in team sources.

Although Phoenix McAllister managed to get a podium in the first race, he did get lucky as after pit stops and accidents he was in effective last place. Bari Morii who stormed back to his hotel before leaving for Japan after the last race did well to qualify but then qualified last and was near a lap down in the race on the 18th placed Douglas Mann.

Me and Aguri are very concerned, and in no way we would want to offend Honda, but it's just a fact, I fear. WE NEED IMPROVEMENTS NOW. Our sponsors aren't impressed either and especially Footwork, who, being a carrier company, doesn't want to be associated with the slowest team on the grid. We'll try to sort out the car as much as we could as well as drive the nuts off what we have, because it's our obligation too. We can do a great job, and indeed we will win a race this season, mark my words!

By the way Kenny, what engine does our car use?

Or are you still too uber-competitive to do so? Tought so. At least Hagane managed a podium in the DNQ Cup. And Douglas realised that he had a driver performing as badly as he was a couple of races in a row, he would have to consider giving himself the sack. But he wouldn't. Not yet.

We knew we had potential. By qualifying for the last race we proved that we could do it. My team mate drove a strong race, and if it wasn't for a gearbox gremlin, I could have improved in my starting position. Being the fastest in pre qualifying is a great feeling. I hope that we can keep our strong position in qualifying. Anyway, Kekkonen narrowly missing the cut shows the car is still difficult to set up and we hope to solve this in the future.

3rd: Prospec - Nathanael SPENCER: +0.19

5th: Pacchia-Coswojuddhartlambo - Luca PACCHIARINI: +0.45
6th: MRT-BMW - Daniel MELROSE: +0.53
7th: Kahama Motor Sport - Kay LON: +0.67
8th: SAFTPHonda - Barii MORI: +0.73
9th: RubberTex-Jones - Sammy JONES: +0.84
10th: ArrowTech Racing - Daniel MARTINS: +0.94
11th: Anglo-Manx Racing - James DAVIES: +1.16
12th: CR Motorsport - Darren OLDER JR: +1.19
13th: SAFTPHonda - Phoenix MCALLISTER: +1.27
14th: Anglo-Manx Racing - Pippa MANN: +1.40
15th: NAB-HRT - Frank ZIMMER: +1.52
16th: O'Lauchlan Motorsport - Dean O'LAUCHLAN: +1.62
17th: CR Motorsport - Damon CANNON: +1.73
18th: Flying Fish Motorsport - Resi RESPATI: +1.82
19th: Australian Minardi - Dave SIMPSON: +1.95

Race (33 laps):
Lap 1:
Koczo held the lead into turn 1, while Spencer got past on the inside of Dagnall, and Pacchiarini passed Rhys Davies. Melrose lost two spots, to Lon and Mori, and Daniel Martins passed Sammy Jones for 9th. At the hairpin, Dagnall tried to pass Spencer while Spencer tried to pass Koczo, with the end result being they went three wide, with Spencer now holding the lead and Dagnall second. Lon had moved into 5th at the expense of Davies, while Martins dropped out of the top 10, being passed by Jones and James Davies. A kamikaze move from Simpson at the last corner earned him 16th place, but he had to force Pippa Mann off the road to do so.
Lap 2:
Spencer holds the lead, but Luca Pacchiarini went on a charge and simultaneously passed Koczo and Dagnall. In fact, Sammy Jones also went on a charge and found himself 4th, ahead of Dagnall. Lon was now 6th, Mori 7th, James Davies 8th, Rhys Davies 9th, and Daniel Melrose 10th. There was less than two seconds from Mori down to the 11th placed Martins.
Lap 3:
Pacchiarini passes Koczo for second at the hairpin, but forces him wide, allowing Dagnall and Lon to get past as well, but unfortunately for Jones, he runs up the back of Koczo and loses his front wing and some spots, dropping back into the pack. Mori, now 6th, leads the usual mid-pack. Pippa Mann is struggling at the back with a damaged suspension, but chooses to continue on.
Lap 4:
Mori puts in a new fastest lap to get to fourth place, while Lon finds himself in third. Dagnall drops to 5th, with Jones recovering to 6th. Koczo has dropped to 7th.
Lap 5:
Dagnall passes Mori at the hairpin for fourth.
Lap 6:
Koczo finds his back to 5th, while Dagnall takes third away from Lon. All three battling as they come down the straight. James Davies now leads the pack.
Lap 7:
Lon takes third back, while Mori breaks away from the pack, passing Koczo, and Daniel Martins has fallen away from it. Spencer still leads, never really being challenged by Pacchiarini.
Lap 9:
The slowest car on track is Resi Respati, who is rapidly being caught by Pippa Mann, who still has suspension damage.
Lap 10:
Koczo passes Mori for 5th at turn 2.
Lap 11:
Koczo repeats the move to take fourth from Dagnall.
Lap 12:
Mori runs wide at the hairpin, and falls back into the pack, which is now led by Rhys Davies. Well, actually, it’s not really a pack anymore, they’ve all started to spread out somewhat.
Lap 13:
James Davies fights his way into 6th, while Mori makes a big mistake at the first corner and drops behind the pack - and Daniel Martins. However, he manages to find his way back to the pack, although Martins also put on a burst of speed to stay ahead of him. Phoenix McAllister also catches and passes Darren Older Jr for 12th. At the very back, Respati is arguably only still ahead of Mann because of the suspension damage that is preventing her from making passes stick. She’s already been ahead 7 times, only to lost spot at the next corner.
Lap 14:
Dagnall takes 4th back from Koczo, and James Davies follows to get 5th. Respati is now 19 seconds behind Damon Cannon, with Mann another 2 away.
Lap 15:
Chris Dagnall sets the new fastest lap as he dislodges Lon from the third place he’s held for a while. Daniel Martins is now the leader of the pack after a brilliant lap from him.
Lap 16:
David Koczo now leads the pack after Rhys Davies started to break away.
Lap 17:
Daniel Melrose sets the new fastest lap, finding his way into 5th, while Lon repasses Dagnall and James Davies drops to 10th. At the back, Pippa tries to pass Respati for the 9th time, but under brakes, the suspension gives out and she slides straight into Respati, taking both out of the race.
Lap 18:
Dagnall takes third back from Lon, and Koczo takes 6th back from Rhys Davies.
Lap 19:
Rhys Davies takes 6th from Koczo and then 5th from Melrose, but brings Sammy Jones with him on both occasions, while Koczo also passes Melrose for 7th.
Lap 20:
Lon and Dagnall continue their battle for third, while Melrose passes Koczo and Jones to take 6th. Barii Mori also passes Koczo for 8th.
Lap 21:
A poor attempt at passing Lon sees Dagnall run very wide at the hairpin and let Rhys Davies and Daniel Melrose past, and as he rejoins he holds up Mori, allowing Jones to take the 7th place and slot in behind his teammate. How nice of him! Up front, however, Spencer is pulling a large lead over Pacchiarini, now a 7 second gap.
Lap 22:
Dagnall puts in a massive lap to regain fourth position, while Melrose calmly follows him through as he passes Davies. After two-thirds of the race, Spencer still leads, with Pacchiarini second, Lon third, Dagnall, Melrose and Rhys Davies battling for 4th, James Davies 7th, Barii Mori and Sammy Jones fighting for 8th, Koczo 10th, Martins 11th, McAllister 12th, Older Jr 13th, Zimmer 14th, O’Lauchlan 15th, Dave Simpson 16th and Damon Cannon bringing up the rear.
Lap 23:
We see our first stops, as Nathanael Spencer takes his Prospec in, followed by Pacchiarini, Lon and Dagnall. This hands Daniel Melrose the lead, with Barii Mori now second and Sammy Jones third.
Lap 24:
O’Lauchlan pits, as does Cannon. Up front, Jones passes Mori for second.
Lap 25:
While Mori, Martins and Zimmer stay out, virtually everyone else stops, putting Spencer 4th on the road.
Lap 26:
Mori, Martins and Zimmer pit, the last to do so, handing the lead back to Spencer.
Lap 27:
After everyone is back on the track, it becomes apparent that Spencer should win this quite easily, with Lon jumping Pacchiarini in the pits, and Rhys Davies losing out to James. Daniel Martins lost his spot to McAllister.
Lap 28:
Melrose and James Davies pass Dagnall on the back straight after Dagnall put his wheels in the grass. The top 10 looks pretty much set, with the only major battle anywhere on track being between Jones, Mori and Koczo for 7th, 8th and 9th.
Lap 29:
Pacchiarini loses his third place spot to Melrose, while Dagnall doesn’t seem too happy on his new tyres, dropping to 7th after again running into the grass.
Lap 30:
Sammy Jones works his way to 5th, while Dagnall makes contact with the wall when he slides again, dropping to 9th.
Lap 31:
Oh no! Spencer loses it at the hairpin, and allows Kay Lon to take the lead of his home race! As he tries to recover, he holds up, well, everyone, and manages to keep second place, but it saved Dagnall, who didn’t need to slow as much, being so far behind, and he easily worked his way back to 4th, behind his teammate. This left Pacchiarini 5th, Melrose 6th, James Davies 7th, Mori 8th, Rhys Davies 9th and Koczo 10th.
Lap 32:
Spencer recovered brilliantly to take back the lead from Lon at the hairpin, and a few seconds later Dagnall put a move on his teammate to take third, followed through by Melrose. With one lap to go, it’s a showdown between Spencer and Lon for the win, and about 4 other drivers for the final podium spot.
Lap 33:
And Spencer holds off a spirited charge from Lon to take the win, while a move on Dagnall at turn 2 saw Melrose take 3rd, with David Koczo also getting past to finish 4th, then it was Dagnall, Jones, Pacchiarini and Mori rounding out the points.

I am happy with 8th on the grid but as the track was damp, I am not sure if the upgrades we had really made much of a difference, as I think my kamikaze driving put me higher then I should have been, still we will see in the race tomorrow.
