Just out of curiosity, how many people on here are actually living in the US?

Just post here with a quick "I am", with maybe a small nudge to your general location.
And if this kind of breaks the rules, I'm sorry. I'm just kinda wondering where exactly some of my fellow forumese are.

An F1 fan from Florida here. We have a good motorsport fanbase here. Home of the Sebring, and Daytona race courses. Though I don't live anywhere near those tracks. Nor have I been to any of them. There is a popular race track in my hometown called the "Five Flags Speedway", just a half mile oval, nothing spectacular. Though there is a popular entry level stock car racing event held one a year during the winter called "The Snowball Derby". It's not my thing.

Oh, Indiana is a thriving place, but if you go from Indiana into Illinois, there is virtually NOTHING, except some ARCA (so fail that NASCAR teams seldom look to it for talent...) in Southern Illinois. There's only one registered NASCAR Home Track (Rockford), and the greatest IndyCar Oval that isn't Indy (Chicagoland), but there's never been much attendance... not to mention it's owned by International Speedway Corporation, AKA NASCAR, and they effectively ran the IRL out.

I'm an atheist NASCAR fan that doesn't like Dale Junior, and I'm still breathing. Kidding, I'd only be hung for being that at Talladega. Since I've never been to Alabama (despite having family there), I'm probably in good shape.

For the non-Americans reading this post, Alabama is where all the redneck stereotypes originate, and for the most part, they're only true in Alabama and neighboring Mississippi.

No, I'm not an agnostic F1 fan, I'm an agnostic ABOUT F1. I kind of believe it's still the premier motorsport league, sometimes, maybe. Honestly, it's the tales we get in F1 Rejects that have kept me hanging around F1 most recently.

I accually live about ten miles from where they first painted their cars. Does anyone else see central Maryland as void of motorsports? Because most are either in the mountains or down south near the bridge tunnel. There was once Marlboro raceway, but that was abandoned.
I'm kinda in the pocket in-between those, which is why I'm super ultra mega psyched for the Indycar race in Baltimore this coming September!

I'm a fan from Boston MA where any form of motorsports even Nascar for that matter is as relevant as women's pro basketball

. However I am excited to go the Indycar race in Loudon New Hampshire which is an hour and a half away from me.

Sadly, no. I don't have the money to do that right now. Although I have been to the Porsche 250 at Barber Motorsports Park back in 2009. If the Austin Grand Prix is a success, I'll probably be saving my money for that one.

My parents are from Michigan, and I'm Texan to the extent that my license says Texas.
This means I also know how to drive properly, unlike anyone else born to Texan parents.

AS part of my high school's band and drumline, I have performed in both stadiums. The jumbotrons at Cowboys stadium are bathplugging MASSIVE in the flesh.

Texas Stadium had nicer acoustics, and was cheaper for high schools to rent. My school and it's two rival schools in the district used to have annual football games there, and it was pretty cheap. Now, though, since the price has gone from $2500 to $30000 (yes, that much) to rent Cowboys STadium, we only go there if we make playoffs.

My dad actually works right near where Texas Stadium once was. And as for the traffic, I live about 45 minutes away, in Highland Village. The stadium is in Arlington, not far from Six Flags and The Ballpark in Arlington. I won't be over there, i'm staying home.

I'm more surprised you could use either stadium at all... To be honest, the charm of the Cotton Bowl Stadium is more or less why I like it, even if the upper deck seats are sweltering hot with the sun in your face on a day that started below freezing. Plus, I can say that I was part of the halftime show for the last Cotton Bowl ever played there, so there's that...

The school played annually at Texas Stadium for quite some time. And, all of the north texas high schools played the later playoff games at cowboys stadium.
Cowboys Stadium is the second most irritating place I've ever performed, after Lucas Oil in Indianapolis. The echo is awful. Playing in the pit of the marching band, the drumline echos 4 times before you hear it. And, IMO, the Cotton Bowl is a far nicer venue. It's easier to get around, and it sounds great.
