This is something I have been thinking about for a while, and maybe every few seasons use a different carset then the current GP set. Each of us could nominate a carset to be used and whichever one gets the most nominations is used for next season.

On another note I'll be away for a week from the 23rd, so I have an excuse in advance for my poor performance in a few of the races.
This is a cool spot.

ROTR:
Bahrain: Jeroen Krautemir (for turning into Melrose from last year by crashing into everybody)
Australia: Brodie Steen (for wrecking everyone on the first lap)
Malaysia: Craig Collie/Rhys Davies (Collie for dropping like a rock and Davies for being the only DNF)
China: Jeroen Krautemir (For not showing up and DNF'ing)
Spain: Craig Collie (Qualified 5th, then crashed out on Lap 2)
Monaco: Eero Hurmerinta (For crashing into Collie and having a bad strategy)
Turkey: Nikolai Muller (For effectively going AWOL)
Canada: Virgin (Krautmeir was beaten by Muller was was AWOL and Clarke didn't do much better)
Europe: Williams Transmission (For eliminating Lon on lap 1)
Great Britain: Jeroen Krautmeir (Started 2nd, lost everything at the start and was anonymous for the rest of the race)
Germany: Craig Collie (Blew front row start with mindless first lap collision with Clarke)
Hungary: Scott Maser (For a self induced retirement after an unusually lacklustre weekend)
Belgium: McLaren (For being frankly rubbish)
Italy: Daniel Melrose (Could have, should have and would have won the race but didn't after a race-ending accident)
Singapore: Liam Capp/Daniel Melrose (More Capp mediocrity and Melrose madness meant Hurmertinta won the race to lead the championship)
Japan: Liam Capp (Sunk down the order faster than a rock before becoming the only retirment)
Korea: Kay Lon (Was no higher than 10th at any point all weekend)
Brazil: Mercedes (Davies retired early, Melrose eliminated himself from championship contention with mindless collision with Hurmerinta)
Abu Dhabi: James Clarke (Talked himself up, started on the front row and then retired during the race)

IIDOTR:
Bahrain: Williams (For showing why Clarke and Rhys were useless)
Australia: Nikolai Muller (Won the race in a single car team! Incredible!)
Malaysia: Williams (For winning the race and proving themselves as competitors from being ROTY last year)
China: Williams (Double podium, honorable mention to Melrose for coming up through the field to get 2nd.)
Spain: Brodie Steen (For finishing 2nd with a single-car team)
Monaco: Scott Maser (For his shocking win in the Lotus, of course!)
Turkey: Craig Collie (For hauling his Renault to the final podium spot in an ultra-close race)
Canada: Kay Lon (For finishing 4th after a pitstop from hell)
Europe: Craig Collie (Started from last on the grid, made 7 overtaking manouvers on a track where overtaking is impossible and finished a respectable 5th)
Great Britain: Scott Maser (For nearly winning the race and ending up on the dias)
Germany: Virgin Racing (Clarke scored pole, Krautmeir took home the win and fastest lap)
Hungary: Craig Collie (Finished 3rd after below average qualifying session)
Belgium: Virgin Racing (Effectively dominated the entire weekend)
Italy: Williams (Double podium after spending effectively the entire Mid-Season in midfield mediocrity)
Singapore: Rhys Davies (Pulled out his best performance yet to finish 2nd)
Japan: Craig Collie (Won Renault's first race in over a season with a brilliant drive)
Korea: Brodie Steen (Won the race to keep himself as an outsider for the title)
Brazil: Liam Capp (Made his way through the field to finish a commedable 2nd)
Abu Dhabi: Liam Capp (Had a midling qualifying but made his way up through the field to win the race and take the championship)

Let's see... I think I have 1 outright ROTR and 1 shared, 1 IIDOTR, 3 podiums, all 3rds (2 in Australia), and a pole. In two seasons. In better cars in both. I hate this game.

Should we start votes for the next carset then? I'm going for IndyCar (Champion Cars v2.0).

By the way, I don't need a KT account to join all types of private games right?

Can anyone tell me how to get Kool Tools without paying? I heard something about getting a refferal, and ending up getting it for free or something like that.

Also, what do you do with Kool Tools anyways?

I don't know about referrals, I got mine for a tenner, seeing as I'm on there every day, I figured it was worth it. It makes finding the setup so much easier, plus you can upload your own helmet and car designs too. £10 well spent imo.

Problem. If anyone found out I just spent $10 CDN on an online game, never mind actually seeing me play that game, because we have strict rules or what not to go on, my head would be chopped off!

I have decided to change the voting system for which series we will be using next season. You can now choose 3 series, however you must put them in order of preference for scoring purposes (your most preffered series will recieve 3 points, second most preffered will recieve 2 points and third will recieve 1 point). The series that has the most points at the end of the voting period will be used. To avoid confusion, use this layout when voting.

1. (insert series here) - 3pts
2. (insert series here) - 2pts
3. (insert series here) - 1pt.

Here is a list of the series' you can choose from:

MS GT Challenge
V8 Supercars 2010
Classic Trans-Am
Formula 3
GP2
DTM
GP 2009
Indy 500
2008 Indycar Series
Champcar Championship v2.0
GP 2005
GP 1999
GP 1997
GP 2008
MR2 World Series
GP 2007
Le Mans Endurance Series
Classic GP 1986
V8 Supercars (2006)
Formula Nations
Champion Cars
British Tourers
BAT Seven Challenge

The deadline for voting is 23:59 GMT Saturday 5th of February.
This is a cool spot.

There are nine single car teams but of course we may have only one driving for Andretti Green and have other three spots there vacant. In total there seems to be 21 teams.

Collieafc wrote:YES! Potential ROTY and IIDOTY double! (If its based on total awards)

I think total awards do come into the equation somewhere but it's also down to popular opinion.

Which reminds me I'm going to throw some names in the ring for the awards with some half-arsed justification:

ROTY:

Rhys Davies: While Melrose was taking it up to the McLarens Davies spent most of his season aimlessly wandering around the midfield with only the occasional spark which led to performances like Singapore and Abu Dhabi. It speaks volumes when he got IIDOTR at Singapore for finishing 2nd in the 2nd best car on the grid when his teammate scored 7 podiums in the first 9 races.

Craig Collie: With Renault downsizing to a one-car operation this season not many people expected much so on that basis alone Craig had a pretty good season. However far too often he qualified well only to lose the plot completely on race day for just about every reason imaginable (11 times out of 19 did he finish lower than where he started or retired altogether).

Nikolai Muller/Force India: After the third race of the season he was leading the championship with a win and 2 5ths. From that point on he only finished in the top 5 once as his performance simply fell off a cliff to such a extent that he ended up last in the standings. However most of the time the car simply wasn't up to the job so Force India must share some of the blame aswell.

IIDOTY:

Williams: Last year's ROTY winners certainly got their act together with new drivers Kay Lon and Tristan Jung and were the dominant team for the first third of the season while Melrose wasn't quite on race-winning pace and McLaren were trying to find their feet. The last 2 thirds of the season however were incredibly disappointing as they only scored 2 podiums in the last 12 races.

Brodie Steen/Sauber: Like Renault, Sauber also scaled down to a single car operation but that didn't stop Brodie Steen and the team from being incredibly competitive as Steen was an outsider for the title before Brazil as McLaren and Melrose kept finding new ways of self destructing in the 2nd half before ending up a crediable 4th in the standings above both Williamses and Davies.

Scott Maser/Lotus: Lotus were in exactly the same boat as Sauber except without the pace. Nothertheless Scott scored 5 podiums including a simply brilliant win at Monaco by outsmarting Melrose who was on stellar form that weekend. Maser however retired 6 times during the season and heartbreakingly 5 of those retirements were when he was in with a real chance to score a good result with the singular except being Hungary when he and the team were simply off the boil all weekend.

After Wizzies post, Steen edges it in my book as even though being single car he still finished 4th overall with his efficient performances, though thats taking nothing away from Maser who had some really good drives
