5th again just behind Melrose gives us every chance for a podium and hopefully a win. I was unfortunate in France but maybe its fate to win here since its as close as a home GP I am likely to get. I'd also like to welcome Scott to the team it is nice to have a team mate but I will be working twice as hard to beat him.
Jeroen Krautmeir is awake and speaking to doctors, the French facility in which he is being treated in announced yesterday. "Driver Jeroen Krautmeir is conscious and is speaking," an official said. "He has multiple fractures in both legs, and after having a discussion with him, the surgeons have decided to begin another operation tomorrow [today] to stabilize the bones."
Ron Mignolet wrote:First of all great to hear Jeroen is concious!
Well a 10th starting place isn't bad for my first race, especially as i easily could outqualify my teammates. The car has a lack of grip and we couldn't find a good set-up but i gave everything and i managed to put in a good lap time.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow.
Phoenix McAllister wrote:Well, guess who run into Giovanni Roda on his flying lap...The car worked well, and that stupid Italian not good enough even for Lebanese local karting championships screwed me yet again. It's just ridiculous, a joke, and absolute joke that the stewards let this guy get away just like that. Congratulations to Damon for his 3rd place on the grid, and I'm very happy Jeroen has regained consciousness. It was an awful crash, he was very lucky to be alive and it was a lucky escape for the stewards too. Ron Mignolet seems like a credible replacement, even if he's a bit of a clown with his lame puns, though the paddock really needs that kind of freshness. Looking forward for the race tomorrow and for Roda to break up before the start so we don't have to deal with his shenanigans yet again.

Congratulations to Douglas Mann on his win today. Who would have thought, considering how bad the Williams was at the start of the season, that he would be leading the championship?

Zimmer made it hard for me to lap him, although he got out of the way before the final blue flag, I was surprised he was on the podium and I apologise on again (snigger) for smacking him right in the privates with the champagne bottle.I am looking forward to the next race and hope to get a win!

I copied Pat's setup at first, and struggled an awful lot with it, so I started from scratch, and that only made the car handle worse. In the end I just tried to strike a balance between the two, and it felt better, but not a whole lot better. It's definitely me, I mean, I still haven't got to grips with how the grooves work, and how twitchy these F1 cars are. Hopefully with a bit more testing at Fiorano and Mugello, I'll be somewhere up there! 10th isn't bad I guess, but Pat showed that there was much more in the car, and I messed things up.
