Just opening this as I think of it, under the anti-climactic safety car:

Re: Monaco IIDOTR
I thin the stewards deserve a shout-out for doing a passable job today, probably due to Allan Mcnish. Di Resta and Hamilton's penalties were deserved and the whole SC-red flag thing was reasonably well managed.

1. Maldonado - I thought Hulk was back in the car - great weekend. I felt so sorry for him when Lewis crashed him out.
2. Kobayashi - nice tyre life and solid race, despite clumsy move on Sutil.

1 - Kobayashi - UNREJECTIFICATION!
2 - Maldonado - Now, why can't he do that all the time? Not the Hamilton bit, of course.
Honourable mentions:
Safety Car - For making its first appearance.
Allan McNish - Common sense and a reject steward is all you need.

Re: Monaco IIDOTR
I'd say Maldonado first and Kobayashi 2nd actually, becuase Maldonado was in the points for more or less the whole time, Kobayashi was helped massively by the Massa/Schumacher safety car.

1. Kobayashi. We expect him to wiggle his way into the points, but 5th in the era of super-reliability is deserving of this award.
2. Maldonado. Drove a great race until Hamilton ruined it.

Re: Monaco IIDOTR
1.: Pastor Maldonado - He drove a mature, top-of-the-class drive until he had his meeting with the Hamidiot [:D]. If he can keep this up, his career in F1 might turn out to be a long one.
2.: Rubens Barrichello - While behind Maldonado during both race and qualifying, he looked good for a point finish as well until the safety car really hurt his chances. Barrichello, however, was still good enough to have a perfect position to profit from the red flag accident.
Honorable mention: Kamui Kobayashi - While he drove very good after getting his shot, for me his drive just was not as good as the Williams' driver's drives.

Re: Monaco IIDOTR
1. Maldonado - Fine race by a Monaco specialist that was unfortunately ruined by Hamilton. We seem to have quite a few Monaco specialists on the grid at the moment (I count Sutil, Rosberg, and Maldonado).
2. Williams in general for scoring points. The car seems pretty good on street circuits.
Honorable mention: Kobayashi, and the Chinese commentators who did a really good job of analyzing all the strategies and actually accurately predicted what the teams were planning to do.

1st: Kamui Kobayashi: KOBAYAHI KAMUI IS NOT A REJECTA!
2nd: Pastor Maldonado: drove maturely the whole weekend and should have scored 7th (Hamilton could have waited two laps before making his move, but I felt he still would have taken 6th)
Honorable mentions:
Adrian Sutil: 4th for a good deal of time.
Jérôme d'Ambrosio: spent a big part of the race ahead of the Loti.
HRT: finished the race 16th and 17th amongst the madness.
Rubens Barrichello: picked up the pieces after the attrition, scoring Williams' first points of the season!

1) Kamui Kobayashi: Aside from the obvious unrejectification, it was a very good application of the one-stop strategy in such a way to make the best of his rather mediocre grid slot.
2) Adrian Sutil: Another one-stopper who made his way into the points despite having a grid-slot deficit.

2) the stewards of the meeting for working quickly and perfectly - I know it's expected at Monaco that they do their job this way, but clearing up today's mess so quickly was incredible.

1) Pastor Maldonado - this man DOES deserve a place in F1 after all! He's been in Q3 twice in a row and should have finished 6th but for circumstances outside his control.
2) Kamui Kobayashi - his 1-stop strategy would have got him some points anyway, and although the safety car certainly benefited him, nobody can say he doesn't deserve to be unrejectified!

1) Adrian Sutil: Honestly, I didn't see that one coming. Good job for him getting the points.
2) Pastor Maldonado: Should be no surprise that he is a Monaco specialist but in a dog of a car, in a rookie year, and after constant criticism that was a good run. Too bad he got punted by Hamilton.
I am not nominating Kobayashi because I don't know if he was culpable for that crash that brought out the red flag.

Re: Monaco IIDOTR
Adrian Sutil for me. Attending to the impredictability part of the award, I really didn't expect him to be as high as 4th, even if favoured by the first SC period.
Honorable mention to Pastor Maldonado who is a true Monaco specialist and already did well at Barcelona. I find very surprising that such an erratic, mistake-prone driver can be this good around Monaco of all places.

Pastor Maldonado gets my vote, his first points ruined because of Lewis Hamilton.
Kamui Kobayashi is second due to his fifth place today. Well done!
Adrian Sutil gets honorable mention for being up to FOURTH before self-destructing due to bad tyres.

1. Maldonado - I never thought I would be genuinely gutted when he retired, but I was. Dim move from Hamilton deserved the 20 second penalty
2. Kobayashi - 5th place for Sauber, nearly 4th, made the 1 stop strategy work and kept his tyres in better nick than Sutil (who caused the traffic jam which caused the crash that caused the red flag).

Re: Monaco IIDOTR
1. Kamui Kobayashi - Made the single-stop strategy work perfectly, though aided by the first safety car period. 4th went begging just before the chequered flag as Webber passed him.
2. Pastor Maldonado - solid performance. As said here already, if only he could do this more often... Too bad Hamilton bumped him out, he deserved those points, and I think I'd put him ahead of Kobayashi had he finished the race 6th as he was before the crash.
Honorable mentions:
Adrian Sutil - That was certainly unexpected. Ended up 7th but ran as high as 4th for many laps.
Jérome d'Ambrosio - Ran ahead of the Team Lotus cars for much of the race, and finished 15th. Also a solid performance, given the limitations of his car.

No surprises here -
1) Maldonado - Did a really good job. Thanks for nothing Lewis.
2) Kobayashi - Less of a surprise, and he did get lucky with the SC, but I was impressed with how long he held back the faster cars.

1. Maldonado - Great race from him for once, Hamilton is not my favourite driver at the moment, surely he's unpopular with all of us Williams fans at the moment.
2. Kobayashi - Unrejectification, it was eventually going to happen.

2. Pastor Maldonado - Couldn't believe the pace he was running in the first part of the race, keeping up with Rosberg, Petrov, etc and has overall had a really strong weekend. Hopefully more where they came from for the Reverend!

Can I nominate Pastor Maldonado as the "moral winner" of the IIDOTR title for Monaco?
As for the actual nomination, I don't know, ... maybe his teammate for finally scoring some poins after such a bad start to the season.

Re: Monaco IIDOTR
Pastor Maldonado - Tremendous effort by the Venezuelan. When everybody was losing their heads, he kept himself calm and collected, did a mockery of Barrichello, fought with the likes of Massa and Petrov, made no mistakes...only to be thrown into the barriers at St. Devote by a lunatic. What a crying shame.
Re: Monaco IIDOTR
Vettel's ridiculous string of good luck was the most improbable thing that happened all weekend. First the Red Flag in quali ensuring no-one could beat his pole time, then the red flag in the race just as things were shaping up to be interesting.

Red flags and the reasons for them are my RotR, for ruining Button's race and a climatic finale to the race.

Yep. I agree, Vettell. He had everything except bolts of lightning destroying the Ferraris and McLarens.

1. Sauber - Showed tremendous pace all weekend, shame for Perez' accident since he could've been 4th today if he would have started around 8th and the race would've gone as planned for him. Kamui did a fantastic drive. Well deserved 10 points for him and the team. Sauber was clearly the 5th fastest team this weekend. Hopefully they can keep up with Renault and Mercedes.
2. Maldonado - I had my doubts about him too (who didn't?). But he clearly belongs in his seat and reminds me of a improved version of Pedro Diniz. Put Barrichello to shame this weekend and his off was 95% Hamilton fault.

1ST Kamui "The Real Deal" Kobayashi
Unrejectified. Simple as. Time to hand him the keys to a shiny new Red Bull RB8...
2ND Pastor Maldonado
Genuinely impressive performance, mature drive until Hamilton mercilessly shoved him into a wall. Unfortunate end to his best drive in F1 to date.
