Given how Chilton outqualified Bianchi at Suzuka I'd say he isn't out of his depth at all. Max has been getting closer to Bianchi throughout the year. On the note of Bianchi, he really hasn't shone since Caterham got their act together and even though he deserves to stay on in F1, the fact that Chilton went faster than him on one of the hardest tracks of the year is hinting that he is underperfoming while Chilton is doing the opposite.

Chilton wasn't that bad in GP2, either, so he sure has a little bit of talent. Difficult to say how much though, as we can only compare with Bianchi.
I'd even say Chilton has been performing better than Pic, D'Ambrosio and Di Grassi were. (but it's possible that Glock was a lot better than Bianchi, we will never know)

Well, but on the other hand, Bianchi barely got any running during free practice.

I've been a Grosjean fan ever since he qualified P3 on his Lotus debut and now that he is mixing his natural speed with the expected consistency he has almost solidified his position as one of the future heroes of the field.

Still when the Williams has been quick (which admittedly apart from Hungary hasn't happened a lot) The Reverend hasn't performed terrible stunts except maybe the Belgium crash. Besides even at the close of 2012 The Reverend was staying out of trouble in Italy, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Abu Dhabi and the USA so even if the Williams was semi-quick this season i think The Reverend wouldn't have pulled such reckless stunts

In terms of on track behaviour, it seems that the only incident that has really seen him in trouble with the management at Williams was the way in which he forced his way past Bottas in the Japanese GP (it seems that the management were rather unimpressed by that move). When it comes to off track activities, though, there is an indication that Williams have been finding it increasingly difficult to work with Maldonado given that he has not hidden his interest in leaving the team.

I no longer hate GRSJN, my current opinion on him is quite mixed

Grosjean has been much less of a liability this year.. So I'm pretty neutral about him now.
The same can't be said about Perez though

Bruno Senna was hardly short of sponsors either (between the four different sponsors he had, it was rumoured that he had something like $14-17 million of backing to call upon), and yet Williams had no compunction about throwing him out of the team at the end of the year. If anything, the way that they casually elbowed Bruno aside for about a third of his allotted practise time to run Bottas instead suggests that they were aiming to replace him pretty much from the start, so if Williams want a driver out, they'll throw him out even if he does have backing.

Grosjean and Maldonado is not a good combination of teammates, not just because of their tendency to crash (at least that's died off now), but for their personalities outside the cockpit.

It may be a combination that Lotus are forced to accept - Grosjean has already mentioned that financial issues are holding up his talks with the team, and there are a few suggestions that Hulkenberg's talks with Lotus have ground to a halt because Boullier has not been able to secure the deal that would keep Lotus financed for the next few years and enable them to afford to take Hulkenberg on.
Boullier has admitted that Maldonado's name has been mentioned to the board - although he himself is pushing hard to sign Hulkenberg - so it is within the realms of possibility that they are paired together at Lotus in 2014.

Maldonado and Grosjean isn't the crashers that they were in 2012. They matured.

I think Perez and Gutierrez is a more crash prone combination in this moment.

If Lotus sign Maldonado over Hulkenberg then that would be one of the travesties of recent years. I'm rooting for them to get 2nd in the constructors' for the extra prize money which would help them immensely. (And Merc 3rd and Ferrari 4th - mischevious grin)

Can't see why Massa would want to go to Williams at all, apart from simply to stay in F1 if no other teams want him. And as they're a prestigious name in the sport's history I guess. Lots of parallels with Barrichello in that they were both long-running Ferrari #2s and are both likely to end their careers with Williams.
