Yes, you can afford the DNQ bailout for both cars at Aston. Although you need to find a replacement for Megumi as she went over the 30 penalty point limit.

Penalty points accumulated in the heats:
Yui Megumi: 10 (Ignoring blue flags x2, drive-through penalty x2)
Marcos Marcia: 2 (Ignoring blue flags)

Marcia gave way before he was handed a drive-through penalty-

Total penalty point standings:
Dean Melville - 64 points (banned until Kyoto Ring)
Dorien Lamberigts - 64 points (banned until Kyoto Ring)
Alexandra Kustova - 60 points (banned until Aston)
Nobushige Fukuda - 37 points (banned until Aston)
Frank Tenpenny - 37 points (banned until Aston)
Yui Megumi - 34 points (banned for Aston)
-----------
Akira Yamamura - 16 points
Jason Hamilton - 15 points
Helio Hernandez - 15 points
Andrea Bianchi - 12 points
Marcos Marcia - 12 points
Sebastian Prost - 10 points
Dieter Hallenstein - 10 points
Martyn Rietacher - 10 points
Hiroto Tojo - 10 points
Martin McGovern - 9 points
Simon Garfünkel - 7 points
Benoît Voeckler - 5 points
Ivan Lanin - 5 points
Karl van Der Zwaart - 2 points

Who will replace Megumi for next round? The random number generator will decide.

0-25 Prachett
25-50 Reatherson
50-75 Naufal
75-100 Look for anyone else

And the outcome is...
8

Prachett gets the drive. :)

Standings
€/$/£
Video. HD option might not be available yet, as it takes a while for YouTube to process it.

Note that the video shows Paasonen and Rojo as disqualified. However, I'll take the blame for this, as I gave them DTs too late so the game automatically disqualified them for not completing their penalties in time (ie. before the winner crosses the finish line). However, as you can see from the above table I've reinstated them to where they actually finished, and they've only gotten their standard penalty points.

Penalty points accumulated in the final:
Connor O'Heagan: 33 (dangerous driving with broken car x 2, severely endangering fellow drivers, ignoring blue flags x 2) - for triggering the multi-car pileup while driving around with a burnt clutch, and also for the Kibbutz-Yamamura-Bulku-Case episode before that.
Tristan Jung: 25 (severely endangering fellow drivers, ignoring blue flags x 2, drive-through penalty x 2) - gets penalized for ignoring blue flags, only to repeat it a bit later. Then crashes with both Ural cars in the aftermath of the large pileup, before entering the pits so that Dorval had no chance of avoiding him, leading to the Dorval-Torrente crash.
Mika Paasonen: 20 (severely endangering fellow drivers, ignoring blue flags, drive-through penalty) - partly responsible for the lap 26 pileup. the car was seriously off the pace due to suspension damage, but he insisted on blocking the leader and only gave way when it was too late.
Nathan McKane: 17 (dangerous driving with broken car, endangering fellow drivers) - the crash with Torrente was perceived as his fault, as instead of trying to continue with his mangled car and driving it into the middle of the track, he should've just kept it as close to the wall as possible. Also, he should've been more careful when he spotted trouble ahead when Paasonen was blocked by O'Heagan, although in the end it would've still been hard for him to avoid Paasonen.
Diego Álvarez Torrente: 17 (dangerous driving with broken car, endangering fellow drivers) - crashes with McKane and Bulku, and while the first one wasn't his fault, he did contribute to the latter by continuing to drive with a burnt clutch.
Renato Bulku: 15 (severely endangering fellow drivers) - everyone else (miraculously) manages to avoid Torrente. What does Bulku do? Crash head on into him, sending the Spaniard into a wild flight!
Cave Johnson: 10 (endangering fellow drivers) - for the pit entry which led to Case losing ground to Yamamura.
Viktor Pasitchnjuk: 10 (endangering fellow drivers) - for his pitlane shenanigans with O'Heagan, and was also partly to blame for his accident with Jung shortly afterwards.
Pablo Galaz: 5 (ignoring blue flags, drive-through penalty) - similar story to Paasonen, although he didn't even yield voluntarily.

Total penalty point standings:
Dean Melville - 64 points (banned until Kyoto Ring)
Dorien Lamberigts - 64 points (banned until Kyoto Ring)
Alexandra Kustova - 60 points (ban now served)
Nobushige Fukuda - 37 points (ban now served)
Frank Tenpenny - 37 points (ban now served)
Yui Megumi - 34 points (banned for Aston)
Connor O'Heagan - 33 points (banned for Aston)
-----------
Tristan Jung - 25 points
Mika Paasonen - 20 points
Diego Álvarez Torrente - 17 points
Nathan McKane - 17 points
Akira Yamamura - 16 points
Renato Bulku - 15 points
Jason Hamilton - 15 points
Helio Hernandez - 15 points
Andrea Bianchi - 12 points
Marcos Marcia - 12 points
Sebastian Prost - 10 points
Dieter Hallenstein - 10 points
Martyn Rietacher - 10 points
viktor Pasitchnjuk - 10 points
Hiroto Tojo - 10 points
Cave Johnson - 10 points
Martin McGovern - 9 points
Simon Garfünkel - 7 points
Pablo Galaz - 5 points
Benoît Voeckler - 5 points
Ivan Lanin - 5 points
Karl van Der Zwaart - 2 points

Diego Álvarez Torrente was taken to the hospital, claiming dizziness and slight neck pain. Nathan McKane, Connor O'Heagan, Tristan Jung and Mika Paasonen were also taken in for a full medical checkup. In other words, there might be injuries.

Also, will Fukuda return to the second MRT seat now that he has served his penalty? And before I forget, Brucie Kibbutz is now eligible for F1RWRS.

At least Komárek got a point in his debut race, having made up 7 places. If that doesn't show that he's ready for F3, I don't know what does.

LFSNation.co.uk wrote:McKane sustains Concussion, critical of Paasonen

Winton Racing has issued a release stating that current points leader Nathan McKane has sustained a concussion during the feature race at the South Bay street circuit after Diego Álvarez Torrente ran into the wounded Winton after McKane was trying to turn the car around. An official medical statement has not been released, but it is speculated that he has also potential back injuries after the initial incident with Mika Paasonen and Tristan Jung. He is awake and aware of his surroundings, albeit sore, and is writing on his laptop from his hospital room. After watching the replay of the race, he shared with us some comments on the incidents.

"That Paasonen should have known I was coming past on his right side. When I was about to pass him he just feels like running into me, and that's what started all the carnage. After that there wasn't much I could do."

McKane is set to be evaluated again a few days before the next round of the RoLFS series at the Aston circuit.

The back injuries will heal in time, Nuppiz will have to make the decision on the concussion. Going by the "Colorado Medical Society guidelines for return to play", it's probable that McKane had either a grade II or a grade IIIa.

I also reviewed the video, and indeed Paasonen also had his share in triggering the pileup. That hardly noticeable turn to the right is actually worth 15 more penalty points as it led to one of the worst accidents in RoLFS history. In hindsight, McKane's penalty is also reduced by 5 points.

Injury reports will follow tomorrow - I'll again use the randomizer as in LifeGP, although because these are supposed to be modern, safe cars, the chances of serious injury are greatly reduced.

I'd gladly remove retired (and some times also utterly idiotic) drivers from the race - I know the chat command to do so. Problem is, it also stops the replay recording, which kind of defeats the purpose as I could no longer provide you with proper video highlights...

Right, here is the injury report. Aston will take place a month after South City (as per our calendar here, so there's a very good chance for the driver to recover in time for it. Kyoto Ring is a further month apart, so missing that has a very small chance, but the Nippon Super 300 is only one week after it so there's the likelihood of missing the entire rest of the season if you have really bad luck. If a driver misses the regular Kyoto Ring round due to injury, then he/she must go through an extra medical evaluation to see whether or not he/she is fit to take part in the endurance event.

So, let's start the lottery wit random.org:
The numbers given are divided to four parts:
- recovers in time for the next race
- will miss Aston
- will miss Aston and Kyoto Ring
- will miss the rest of the season

Diego Álvarez Torrente: 1-70/71-85/86-95/96-100: 63 Somewhat dizzy and concussed, but is cleared to take part in Aston.
Nathan McKane: 1-75/76-90/91-95/96-100: 31 See Torrente.
Tristan Jung: 1-75/76-90/91-95/96-100: 76 Well that's just awful luck. Microscopic fractures in the ankles that didn't prevent him from finishing the race, but they could get should he have another crash at Aston.
Connor O'Heagan: 1-80/81-90/91-95/96-100: 89 Oh well, he'd miss Aston anyway.
Mika Paasonen: 1-85/86-90/91-95/96-100: 98 Oh dear, further examination showed that his neck took some serious damage and he only managed to finish because of the adrenaline flowing in his system.

So, Jung needs a replacement for Aston, while Paasonen needs one for the rest of the season. I might as well put myself forward and offer Ragnar Larsen and Phil McCracken for the vacant seats.
