All tracks do in indeed comply

The only reason I voted down dr-baker's track is because half of it is already used for the TT, so in my mind it lacks originality.

That is a good reason. I don't know where specifically the TT goes, so I didn't notice. Not revoting, though.

But in the opposite direction.

And if you're doing a track, does it make sense to use some of the pre-existing infrastructure, like the pit-lane?

True, but I've always treated this as more of a fantasy track designing competition and as such I've had pretty much no regard for track surface, street width etc when designing my tracks. Please point out any flaws in my track if you so desire!

To be honest, I don't pay much attention to track width, kerb height, presence of street furniture/speed humps, etc either. It's just that the start/finish straight for the Manx TT is a great bit of road in my opinion...

I was just posting a 9 track montage in "Beat Tilke at his own game" when this came up in my mind as well. I think I'll work to get better at not forgetting about it.
hopefully

Long overdue a new theme, my bad, so here we go:
Pescara
The longest circuit to hold an F1 grand prix was the Pescara circuit in Italy. Comprising of 2 massive straights blasting through villages, connected by a challenging twisty coastal road, it totaled 25.8km in length.
The challenge is simply to resurrect the Pescara GP. The circuit length maximum is 25.8km, but there is no minimum. At least part of the track must run through Pescara and at least approx. 80% must make use of existing roads. HAVE FUN!
PS It would be nicer to have more voting this round, I feel a bit of a fraud for winning off the back of only 2 votes.

I would say that Benetton's track is a bit outside Pescara for my liking, but saying as the voting has started, I won't veto it.

Grand Prix of Bermuda
http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=6188859Located on a "former" golf course this track has a compromise of everything. The first part of the track is quite twisty with Suzuka-esque bends and combined with narrow, unforgiving, run-off areas. The second part follows real streets and is quite fast and the final sector has a long sweeping bend.
