However, I did get an email last night saying Mad Uncle Melrose wasn't sacked after all so now I have no idea what to believe. By the way, what does the Commission do with all the credits it earns?

It is rumoured that James Davies has been given a one race suspension by the team for his outspoken comments after the Monaco GP, we hope to bring confirmation later today.

Melrose not signed?
News is in that Daniel Melrose has only signed a letter of intent and not a full contract with HRT. We hear from a source within Sunshine Motorsport that Melrose has been approached by them to lead the team.

Rumours that the Sunshine RWRS Team may be looking to quit the RWRS began circulating not long after star driver Shinobu Katayama's assault on team owner, Joao Lagos. This latest debacle comes after a poor start to the season from the team, and the Katayama issue is not helping the long-term stability of the team, especially in the views high ranking team officials who beleive Shinobu was forced out of the team against her will. The results of the acrinomius split between the two parties may result in a divide within the team that may not be repaired without drastic action.

The future of Sunshine is unsure at the moment at least. This season will have to be written off as a transition year, unless substantial development is poured into upgrading the car, which Joao Lagos is unlikely to do in the first year of ownership. Even if substantial development was poured into the car and it was brought up to a consistent points scoring standard, this specification would most likely not be reached before the final five races of the season, and then it would have a huge impact on next year's car when the new chassis rules are implemented

The word within the paddock is that Joao Lagos wants to abandon ship ASAP, and focus more on his Porto Wine team who are performing moderately well in the junior categories

Katayama to drive for Revolution at Mexico

Joao Lagos and Hagane Shizuka has struck a deal about the former Sunshine driver Shinobu Katayama. She is going to drive in Mexico to settle in, but will revert to third driver status until Marie Simon enters her eight races in order to complete her contract. She is free to go after the deal is done.
This means that the former Sunshine duo is now driving together again.

Daniel Martins will replace Katayama at Sunshine until the end of the season after having already driven this season when the team suspended its former number one driver. However, inside sources still expect to convince Davies to keep driving for the team next season with some much needed good performances.

After the depature of key sponsors from the Sunshine RWRS team, and the loss of star driver Shinobu Katayama, a new hope emerges for the ailing team. Luke Knight and his Plus One consortium has announced that they would like to enter into partnership with the Japanese squad. "At Plus One we are always broadening our horizons" said Knight when asked about the possibility of a partnership "and a partnership with this iconic team would only help to strengthen both of us". The proposed deal would see Joao Lagos keep control of 51% of Sunshine, with Plus One holding the other 49%, along with Sunshine cars receiving Foster's backing in line with all Plus One ventures. Plus One are reported to recieve training for it's personnel by Sunshine, and control of the second driver's seat.

According to a source within the team Tropico Grand Prix powered by CR Motorsport is looking at replacing either one of their drivers: while the team is very pleased with the performance delivered by both, especially after Older Jr.'s successful training camp with one of the council members causing his performance to increase significantly, the teams seeming rise has been halted and the team are now worried about the budget becoming an issue again.

With price money looking less likely, the team may have to revert back to pay drivers soon. The source said that the team will release the driver who is lower in the standings after the North American races when the team fails to score a point (or more) in these races.
