That happened because he forgot he wasn't driving a F1 car, so he hit the brakes at the spot where he would usually brake in F1, too late for a road car.

Not F1 but truly reject worthy - I'm sure Yuje Ide would've done this first if he'd thought of it!

Of course it's reject worthy, it's Tarso Marques! (I forgot he even existed, so he doubles as a reject and as a forgettable driver)

That's Jean all right! Speedcar was a bit of a reject series, wasn't it? It looks that those cars had to crawl around the first turn to stay on the track proper.

OK, I'm sure autograph hunters are a pain. But, Kimi.... really?
That is a disgrace.

I know that being rather unemotional is a part of that "Iceman" moniker, but that was more like cowardice than keeping your head cool...

Actually Kimi pushed the womans folders out of his way, directly into the little girls face.
The least he could have done was go back and help the little girl up, then walk away from the autograph hunter.

I was looking at some racing vids and came across Tony Kanaan's recent Indycar pitlane fire:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOi3n9XeEzwWhat looked strange to me was that they were using water to put the fire out, rather than the CO2 or foam extinguishers I'm used to seeing in F1 - a couple of guys even resorted to throwing buckets of water over the car. I know Indy uses an ethanol/gasoline mix rather than 'normal' fuel but I always thought it was dangerous to use water on oil or alcohol fires. Is this standard practice for fire safety in Indy racing?

Yep. I'm not entirely sure what fuel blend IRL uses, but CART used methanol for the simple reason that a fire could be put out with water - however the problem being that the fire wasn't visible. IRL recently added dyes to the fuel to make fix the visibility issue. If I'm not mistaken this was a caution taken from Eddie Sachs' firey accident at Indy in 1964, I believe.

Italian commentator on the verge of corpsing by the end. I like how he just walks out in the middle of the disaster zone like it was coreographed. I like how the woman for a split second carries on trying to get his autograph even after he's just clattered into her child. I like how Kimi looks at his friend as they walk of and does a little 'stupid bitch' shake of his head.
This is just perfect.

I don't think it was Kimi's fault. It was really the woman who knocked over the child, Kimi was probably going somewhere so he gestured to the woman to help it and walked on. Still funny though.

He did see the woman and the autograph book, but he didn't see the little girl hiding behind it. An honest mistake, but one that Kimi's more likely to do than other drivers, simply by way of his personality.
I don't massively care, some of the people commenting on the youtube page are making out like he's satan destroying the good family name of Ferrari. Someone should make a compilation of the many times Schumi stormed into his motorhome after an unsuccessful races.
I just find the whole thing hilarious though. The coincidence of it happening slap bang in the middle of a piece-to-camera.

The name of the user that posted the video and says Kimi should get kicked out of Ferrari is a Portuguese name. I kind of believe he might just be Brazilian...

Fair enough, but if you were involved in an incident when a small child was knocked over would you not at least check they were OK - he comes accross as a complete prick in that clip.

Zanardi's 1999 performances for Williams really were shockingly bad most of the time weren't they? I had forgotten that Badoer overtook him in that race, thanks for making a Minardi and Badoer fan very happy

i nearly died laughing from the taki inoue video with the cat.
i dunno if this is true or not but apparently one year at the us grand prix pedro de la rosa was tricked by stewards into jumping over a wall. when he jumped over he didnt know there was a huge drop and he landed in a pool of water.
i know in usa 2000 theres a clip of a steward pushing a benetton off the track too hard and it smacks the barrier

I wonder if Jacques Villeneuve ever thanked Giovanni Lavaggi for Estoril 1996....
Still, according to Nigel Roebuck, Deletraz's drives for Pacific in 1995 made Lavaggi 'look like Nuvolari', and having watched both of them drive that year, I would have to agree. At least Lavaggi tried to race the Fortis of Diniz and Moreno at the back of the grid. Deletraz was six seconds slower than them in qualifying for the Portuguese Grand Prix, and miles off the pace in both that race and the following race at the Nurburgring.
