As for me, my post count has ground to halt recently.

Do not take this personally, but I seriously can only remember off-topic things you mention. I'm not saying you don't contribute, but you're far more memorable when you're being off-topic.

it's hard to say something useful when i'm only repeating what others are saying, you know... so i usually decide to shut up. So i do what i'm good (well, better
![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)
) in.
It's not that i don't want to be informative and informed, but i'm just a regular F1 lover, not en encyclopedia. Usually i would be one who says his opinion a lot, but when my opinion is already there, it makes no sence in constantly saying 'second that', does it?
![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)
This leads to the image that i'm only saying nonsens
and i'm aware of the fact that i'm not the most contributing and perhaps not even the most loved member, but i won't take it personally, as long as i don't receive a pm i assume i'm not doing anything wrong, and if i receive one, i'll take that one serious.
But let's try to get back on topic

Editor's note: That's a lie. A big one. School has me crazy busy. While I've been talking to you for most of my morning, I've been writing an assignment for my reporting class on how to cultivate medical marijuana. It's due in 2 1/2 hours, and I'm not close to done with it yet. Stuff like this happens to me all the time. Also, in the long term, I'm going to be taking a more labor-intensive position at the paper (I don't know which one yet), so I'll be on less in the fall.

And you're welcome.

A little thing which I noticed on the BBC website amongst Kravitz's comments about the Chinese GP was a little explanation as to why Jaime might have been showing better form as of late, compared with his first season. According to comments made by Ascanelli (the Toro Rosso technical director), the main reason is down to the fact that Jaime has considerably improved his fitness and stamina over last year, when Ascanelli became concerned about the state of Jaime after some of the races (particularly Valencia).
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsp ... 633980.stmThere is also a comment on why Mercedes seemed to be suffering from heavier wear on their intermediates - as we know, the car currently doesn't have the optimal weight balance, with the weight overly biased towards the rear. With the front tyres not getting fully up to temperature, that means that the car tends to understeer.
To compensate, the mechnics moved the ballast as far forwards as possible - the problem is, it is still not far enough forwards for Schumacher, hence the severe understeer he had, whilst the removal of ballast from the rear of the car meant that it had poor traction. That, in turn, meant that the rear end tended to slide, causing the rear tyres to wear out too quickly on both cars.
There is also a rather revealing comment by Brawn - he let slip that in the early 2000's, one of the reasons that Ferrari were so fast on the straights was down to the fact that they designed the rear wing to flex at speed, allowing it to stall (in a way which complied with the rules at the time, he said).

Not at all surprised if that was the case. Yeah, Ascanelli's comment is slightly tongue-in-cheek, but the truth is the guy hadn't done an F1 pre-season, training for the sort of stress modern cars cause. Even established drivers suffer - Brundle commented in Bahrain (anti-clockwise track, making it worse) how Alonso was resting his had in the left-handers for the last 10 laps.
Incidentally - it was often said that fitness was a large part of Schuey's success...

Last I checked, Bahrain International Circuit was clockwise. Most of the longer turns are right-handers anyway.

Mmmm, forget that bit. The argument still applies, though.
