IndyCar acquired all of the CART records in the same way that CART acquired all of the USAC records. So technically, A.J. Foyt has the most IRL wins of all time with 67.

So, for the years that IRL and CART coexisted, there were two champions?

When Baltimore rolls around, expect a short interview between me and Bordais. lol
I will ask simple fan questions like "do you think this is easier than driving a formula one car" and other stuff like "do you think you are a reject of sorts". Meh I have wanted to meet him since he came to america for IndyCar racing.
In mid-late August I'll start a thread where you guys(who are unable to attend the race) can post questions you want me to ask him.
I believe in German BARawnda-Tyrrell-Simca(and it's working)

Yep. But that's no different when USAC and CART "Coexisted". Granted, after like 1981 the only USAC race was the Indianapolis 500...

That is what the framers of the US constitution....... IIII meeeaann the original owner if IMS would have wanted.
This "series" stuff is fine if the fans were to pay more attention to the other races on the schedule, but the pinnacle of all open wheel racing still remains the 500 miles. That is what most racing fans around the world want to see. Don't deny it!

Another Spoiler Alert

Ryan Briscoe is dumb. This is the IRL, not F1, there are no designated passing zones, and drivers are supposed to race. The stewards are also dumb for insisting that double-file restarts are the way to go.

Also spoilers:

Well, amazingly, I disagree with both of the things you have said. There are no "designated passing zones", but the way Hunter-Reay was trying to do it here could only have lead to the result it has actually lead to. He was not in front of Briscoe going into the corner and then he also clipped the curb and went straight into Briscoe, whose anger I fully understand. (Much as I usually like Hunter-Reay).
Also, the Double File Restarts have created some very interesting situations in this race and the drivers have started to get used to it, and will continue to do so in the next few races.

Also, the people at Barber Motorsports Park need to seriously look into getting a few (more) tire barrieres on the outside of some of the corners, as I'm sure Mike Conway will agree. They can hardly be too expensive for people who could afford to build such a great facility.

Also, I agree about Viso. He is not a traditional reject like the people we love at this website, he is just a driver very much out of his depth and a danger to himself and to others. He simply cannot go on ruining other people's races like he did again today. And I seriously doubt even PDVSA could pay for as much as he keeps ruining every weekend. He seemed like a nice enough guy in the interview on Versus after the crash, but regardless: This can't go on. He needs to get his act together FAST.

Robin Miller even said during the middle of the race: "I think Viso brings about 3 million in sponsorship, and that's about how big his repair bill is, so he needs to find some extra cash, fast." Total owned.

That Swiss cutie was pretty darn competitive. I think she would have gotten a stronger result had that reject Spyker test driver not ruined her race.

She seems to have the one thing that Danica Patrick lacks. Talent.

Fixed. Danica can hack it on the ovals and in longer races (and occasionally on the street courses), the main problem is that when she was at her peak, Andretti-Green were embarrassing themselves even more than Williams is right now, and had that team been better, I don't think she'd have just one victory...

Not to mention she's running in NASCAR part-time and I wouldn't be at all surprised if she goes there full-time (despite her publicocrap that says her increasing pace in NASCAR won't hurt her in the IRL...). It's easy to poke and laugh at Danica, and to write her lone victory off to fuel mileage... but if you beat Helio Castroneves in a fuel mileage race, pat yourself on the back, well done.

I think it's because it's his favorite racetrack and also, besides zanardi, not many other drivers were willing to out-balls him through there.

No Probalo, bro.

The cars are randomly drawn into 2 groups. From there, the first group gets 15 minutes to set a time. After that, it's the second group's turn.
Then, the top 6 from each group are put in the "Top 12". They go out again, and have 15 minutes to set a time.
After that, the top 6 move on to the "Firestone Fast 6", and have 10 minutes to set a time.

It's not too different from the current F1 system, in that the eliminated cars will start where they lie (the first 2 groups are combined for this purpose), but it is quite a bit more complicated. It took me a while to figure out myself.
