Shinji Zanmai wrote:Nissan will confirm their entry into the series, Shinobu Katayama is going back to Japan to do Formula Nippon as she has her sights on the pinacle of F1RWRS, Barii Mori now has a full time drive so he is going to work on that. So we will enter, Nobou Takahashi, a talented if overlooked driver in F3 and Formula Nippon. We are also looking for a French or American driver to partner alongside him, so watch this space.
So my entry is
#0 - Nobou Takahashi
#2 - Open (as long as you are French or American, or at least want to pretend to be).

I've just been putting Castrol Jones Racing's results into the new wiki from the F1RLFS Cup, and noticed a few irregularities.
According to the finishing positions for each race, the team should have a total of 25 points, not 28.
Sammy Jones should have 14 points not 15.
Joey Tempest should have 12 points not 13.
I have factored in the pole for Tempest, but as far as I'm aware, neither picked up any fastest laps.
Just looking for clarification Pointrox, which is correct, the finishing position for each race posted, or the points at the end of the year?
It doesn't alter the standings much, the team stays where it was, and depending on countback, there'll be a couple of moves mid-table. However if there are other irregularities it could get a bit heavy. I'll go through and re-edit this post if there are any others with mis-calculated positions/points.
EDIT:
I take that back about Jones' total, it is correct at 15. There are however a couple of other errors (nothing too serious though).
Katayama's total should be 27 not 28
Cannon's total should be 23 not 22
Sbai's total should be 13 not 14
Tempest's total should be 12 not 13
Cockburn's total should be 10 not 11
Nicolas' total should be 10 not 9
As I said earlier, it only really affects a few midfield drivers up and down one or two places. There are however 2 or 3 uncounted fastest laps to be awarded (1 point each) but even that doesn't account for all the errors.
Whilst I'm assuming the results are correct and the points totals wrong, it could equally be the other way round. Only Pointrox knows this.
So Pointrox could I respectfully request a revised final championship table for both drivers and teams for 2011 please?

That was a bit short notice to say that enteries would be closed.

Can I just add Didier Honoré (France) as my second driver and Marco Van Danne (Netherlands) to Starforces team?

Kuryavskiy fastest in 1st test sessionKazakh Roman Kuryavskiy was the fastest driver of the first test session at Autodrom Most. Formanek Racing Team driver set the fastest lap at the end of the session, taking the lead from Nobou Takahashi of Sunshine Infiniti.
Although all the cars has been delivered on the track and were assembled to the very last moment, Rosenforth Engineering drivers couldn't take part in the session because of unexpectedly closed airport in Prague.

F1RLFS Cup renamed to IRDU Rejects CupInternational Reject Drivers Union president, John Dennis Alcatraz, has announced today that the new-born series will be renamed to IRDU Rejects Cup from 2012 on.
The name change was caused by losing one of the key sponsors - Scavier Solutions, racing game developers that created Live for Speed. They also have relaunched their official YouTube channel -

rFactor offered more than LFS ever could. Some say that a rain of papayas was involved but then you should ask HWNSNBM himself

Second session results are up!

Macklin leads final test dayQANTAS MRT driver Mitchell Macklin set the fastest time as the 2012 pre-season testing season ended at Autodrom Most today.
Macklin, Australian rookie that will debut in IRDU Rejects Cup at Watkins Glen, put in a late effort to narrowly beat the other Australian driver, Rhys Davies, whose team - Rosenforth Engineering - premiered their livery.
Another rookie, Dan Greenlaw, was the pace-setter for most of the session.
Last year's underdogs - Scuderia de Cesaris - were performing very decently. Ismail Sbai and Vincent de Nieuwe eventually took 4th and 5th place.

I suffered severe brain fade and deleted the whole rFactor folder with IRDU Rejects Cup files in it. What's more, I failed miserably at recovering at least part of it.
Unfortunately I have to put the series on hold, but when I get to find me some free time, I'll try to revive it
