Was that definitely Maldonado who did that? I thought that it might have been Bruno Senna actually (it was kind of hard to see who exactly was in the cockpit there, although the commentators initially thought it might have been Bruno rather than Maldonado).

Apart from the Reverend's brainfade, it's clear that Williams are nowhere here. I actually feared that, as it's clear that the car is very good at generating downforce, therefore it likes the fast corners where a lot of downforce is needed; exactly the kind of thing you don't need that much at Monaco, which is full of slow corners and where mechanical grip and traction are most needed. It's funny because every recent Williams car was the opposite, good for start-stop tracks and bad everywhere else  I remember Webber doing well at Monaco in 2006, Rosberg decent in 2007 and 2008 and very good in 2009, Barrichello good in 2010, Maldonado great in 2011...

Andrew Benson reporting a ten-place grid pen for Maldonado. Too lenient IMO. Should be excluded from the weekend.

BBC just showed new footage from Spain FP3. The bit where Schumacher blocked Hamilton.

Bloody Cheatmacher up to his old tricks again, after he came up behind Hamilton a couple of corners earlier (who was on a hot lap, btw), then fell back slightly towards the final chicane, so just ignored said chicane section entirely and used the old track to get back ahead of Hamilton. And then PARKED on the apex of the chicane.

Go Home Michael Schumacher. No wonder people like Maldonado act out like idiots when they have you for a benchmark. Image

Pastor's gone and got himself a 10 place grid penalty. The saying 'from hero to zero' has never been more fitting :( Anyway, that new building sure is ugly

I'm actually not sure about the 15 mins being a waste of time. There might be another crash, or a nice lap from Kovalainen - he was in Q2 last year.

Anyone in favour of aborting the entire qualifying session now? I'd love the current standings to be the grid.

Perez looked as if he was never going to make it round that corner in the board replay. Seems like he had steering failure. Unfortunately Checo is not as good on 3 wheels as Gilles Villeneuve :D

SPEED is saying that something was broken on Perez's left front wheel before he crashed. That's exactly where Maldonado hit him this morning...

Brundle thinks it's a left-front suspension failure, probably as collateral damage from the Maldonado incident.

Was my TV Playing tricks on me or did I see Hulkenburg take P1?

Maybe he used super soft though...
My friend's USB drive spoiled, spilled tea on her laptop and had a bird poo in her hand.

What did she do in her past life to deserve this?

Ignore Vergne's laptime and the whole Q2 field was seperated by less than a second. And in Q1, when was the last time someone was 1.127 seconds slower than the fastest and STILL not make Q2.
