Unless I happen to find the Legendary Super Soviet who only appears once a thousand years, I am in deep trouble. Especially if my driver keeps picking up penalty points.

I really can't think of any other Soviet drivers out there and there doesn't seem to be anything on Metelev's birth-date so I don't even know when he would retire.

Defenitely has to be a ROTR for Jan Flinterman

He will return to for the 1951 race, meanwhile Van Der Lof will show that Holland is not entirely worthless.

The South-African team doesn't seem that bad, and McKenzie is decent. But they'll keep rotating through the season to see which driver is the best future prospect.

Since Monaco will only have room for 26 cars, (there are in fact only 20 pit stalls meaning that for a 33 car grid most teams would have to share which can easily create dodgy situations) I will run a pre-qualifying session for all teams that are currently outside the top 20 in points. So only the top 6 of this session will make the race, the rest fail to qualify.

Piero Taruffi is on pole for Italy.

While Paul Pietsch has done a great job thus far, Douglas-Cliff Racing will run Hans Stuck in a one-off at Belgium for A1 Team Germany before cycling between the two for 1951.

Well that was a bit of a disaster and frankly the series is seriously considering not returning to Monaco again and are looking at other street circuits to run at in the future. Only five cars actually made the finish though Paul Pietsch completed enough laps to be classified in 6th, while 14 cars were out within the first 20 laps.

On the other hand we did have our closest finish so far as Toulo de Graffenried just held on to win for Switzerland from Italy's Piero Taruffi by under a second.

Forgot to save the replay so I couldn't get any screen shots of the race.

Round 4 at Le Mans will be run this weekend so I'll need confirmed drivers by Friday for those with multiple drivers that haven't set their plans already.

There were a couple of injuries from the Monaco weekend, first Eliška Junková sustained a fractured leg and concussion from her lap 12 accident and will be out of action for the next two races. Czechoslovakia will need to find another driver for those races.

Both Argentina drivers were injured during their Formula One exploits during the same weekend at Monaco. Alfredo Pián suffered a heavy accident in practice and was ejected from his car, sustaining serious leg injuries. He has made the difficult decision to retire from motorsport.

After his heavy crash the day before in the A1 Grand Prix race, José Froilán González had another on lap 2 of the F1 race, resulting in his car catching fire. He will be unable to compete at the French A1 Grand Prix due to the burns he sustained from the crash.

Since both drivers are unable to compete, Argentina will need to find a third driver for the next round at Le Mans.

Finally Johnnie Parsons has commitments to race in the AAA Championship at Langhorn Speedway on the same weekend as Le Mans. United States must find an alternative driver for that weekend. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1950_AAA_C ... Car_season

Maurice Trintignant takes pole on his debut for France, this also makes him the first ever home pole-sitter. Peter Whitehead will start alongside for England while Harry Schell will start an impressive 3rd on his debut for the United States.

Trintignant becomes first driver to win from pole after a race long battle with Whitehead. This also means that France are the first repeat winners of the season. Paul Pietsch completed the podium.

Should point out that I had to use the modern layout of Le Mans, I couldn't get the 60s version to work.

And also for once the backmarkers behaved themselves and didn't hold anyone up. For the first time, no penalties were handed out.

Since it is essential to give West Germany a morale downgrade, Willy Lehmann will lose his seat for the remainder of 1950 unless he manages to both finish in the Top 10 and beat West Germany's car. Should that happen, Edgar Barth will take over the car.

Argentinia would also like to see an Argentinian round added to the calendar to justify our involvement in the championship.

When Argentinia become dormant (i.e. no good drivers) can I switch to another (unclaimed) country?

Rather than having an Argentinian round, we need a round in socialist space to emphasise the global nature of our series. That is why we propose a street race around the Leipziger Stadtpark.
