Phoenix wrote:But I don't get the point. Why would Aerond, for instance, blow 1000 credits buying the Chrysler engine for it to have only 750hp when the base power for that engine is 770hp? Not that it's going to prevent me from sleeping tonight, but I am curious to know why.
Because he's generous I guess. Plus he made it clear he was going to wait until the frenzy had died down before making his call so he was always going to be compromised to an extent.
Well, my first aim was to get the Ford Zetec-R, but I was on a 3G connection when the market opened and then my message took longer to arrive than Wizzie´s, so I decided to go for the Chrysler instead. 750 Bhp, with the chance on investing on Mark Dagnall´s race pace should be enough; there will be chances for a better chassis in the future; and with money coming through Mignolet during the season I can upgrade the reliability if needed.
Funnily enough, the Chrysler was also my first backup in case you go to the Zetec first. I actually figured out about a week in advance that DanielPT was always going to go for the Zetec as well so one of the top teams was always going to miss out. Whilst overall, the Zetec is better now, I think the Chrysler is a better long-term prospect.

The Fox josses Aston buyout rumours "This is nothing but rubbish," commented the majority owner of ArrowTech. "We're already rich enough as is and we already get more money from Al Faisal. Besides, why would I give the team to a rich manufacturer? We don't need any more manufacturers in the sport and besides, they do nothing but spend their way to victory anyways. You don't win with an open checkbook."
Brett Johnston, Aston boss, slightly furious over The Fox's comments In regarding the above news article about The Fox calling Aston Martin "open checkbooks," Aston Martin boss Brett Johnston was irate over The Fox's comments. "We are not open checkbooks, although we may seem rich, we use the money wisely unlike teams like Toyota F1 when they put their money hiring idiots that do nothing anyway, like Half Schumacher and that Fernandes guy."
Half Schumacher found arrested in London after apparently trying to attack Johnston Yesterday morning the brother of the 7-time world champion, and Half himself, a grand-prix winner and an unsuccessful DTM driver was arrested this morning after attacking Brett Johnston, the Aston Martin Motor Racing boss, with a candlestick, a baseball bat, and a beer bottle. Schumacher was not drunk at the scene. His motives are unknown, though police investigations point to the above article that has Johnston calling Schumacher an "idiot," among other things. Johnston was not available to comment.
ArrowTech looks "good," says Acuri Just recently this morning ArrowTech technical director and former team owner Andrea Acuri says this year looks promising for ArrowTech. "We have a good chassis, and we certainly have a good deal of engine support from Renault, who supplied the engines for my team last year. We also get a good influx of money from Al Faisal, so that should help fund our team as well. And we've also put up stronger security around the base to prevent the Danish Terrorists from breaking into the base again."
Bosevic likes his car (so far) ArrowTech driver Mirko Bosevic says he likes the development of his car. With the ArrowTech AT-05 nearly done, the team is very optimistic about the season. Says Bosevic, "I think we'll qualify all the races this season like we did last season!
EDITORS NOTE: On our previous news article, "Ralf Schumacher found arrested in London after apparently trying to attack Johnston," we made the error by misspelling Ralf Schumacher's name as "Half Schumacher." The writer did not intend this to occur and we regret the misspelling.

Holy crap, what a convoluted mess I've walked into. Um, Boxtel would like to sell its Simtek chassis in favor of the Larrousse LH93. I believe we have more than enough credits for the operation. Once we by a new chassis, all the previous updates are revoked, right?

Only reliability upgrades. Power upgrades are associated to your engine.
Tread lightly in ARWS. Every decision might be your last.

Boxtel has 410 credits now.

Scuderia Alitalia bought upgrades for a value of 5 credits, leaving them with 100 credits. Arrowtech bought upgrades for 160 credits. Credits left: 140

Already did. Also updated Mecha and Boxtel's current combinations. The only team were yet to hear from is Dofasco but if we get no response, they keep their package by default.
I'll do a pre-season review based on what's happened once I can get my head around whose jumped to where in the pecking order

So maybe sleeping was a better idea after all... Thanks kostas for the Forti.
Now I could tell you that I originally wanted to buy either the Rial or the Onyx. Now, I'd like to know how the Forti's reliability stands. I have 510 credits, so I might invest into that later on.

Gillet announce engine rebadging deal with Tropico!
After Tropico announced that they would also use the Judd GV10, they expressed their interest in Gillet's authorisation to rebadge the Judd engine (also used by Gillet) to Gillet.
Tony Gillet has accepted Tropico's offer for a rebadging, and for Tasmania, and indeed the whole season, Nathan Scott and Darren Older Jr will drive a Tropico-Gillet. Could this be the start of a long-term partnership?

After having some sleep I'd like to apologise for my ranting last night. Bad day, bad evening and crap Internet made me rage a bit.
Anyway, having taken a quick look at the wiki now it's been updated, I think it may be very close between teams from 6th to 16th/17th. A lot of similar engines have been chosen so it'll depend where people go next. Autodynamics look to have done fairly well tbh whilst Dofasco have moved sideways so they might be the perennial backmarkers this year. As for us, a conservative chassis won't help much, so I'm putting all my hopes and dreams on the Peugeot's grunt to move us up the order.

Guess what? That Peugeot engine and conservative chassis moved you pretty much to the top of said midfield.

I know it's going to be completely wrong but still, it's a guideline to work from. You better hope it's completely wrong anyway as you're pretty much screwed otherwise

I wish. I'd like to be close to Prospec as they have the same engine. But to qualify regularly is what we are aiming at.

Don't know where I'll finish and don't care. All my efforts are focused on 2016, the arrival of the Chosen One to F1RWRS. I must have the best possible base package ready for Andrej. The shitebox Cossie HB I have right now will not suffice.

There is always David Koczo in the other seat, one of the best in RWRS. If the car is good he'll be right up there.

Actually, for the second time today, I have to correct you. That Peugeot engine has actually had a much greater effect that I thought it would. My jaw literally dropped to the floor when I saw just how competitive you'd be on base stats alone (Then it dropped even further when I saw just what the hell the muppets over at Aeroracing managed to do ). Bear in mind though this is all based on base stats alone as trying to figure in upgrades will be too time consuming.

I reckon that staying put with that Footwork chassis might be the downfall of Sunshine (thanks to SuperAguri ). Still, that is one changeable thing for 2016!
