With Perez gone, it looks like Sauber might bring up Esteban Guiterrez as they are dependent on Telmex support to run the team. I think Guiterrez has done quite well in GP2; he's more qualified than Valeri Bottas, IMO

But Perez also has the Telmex money. Does that mean we might get some changes in the '13 McLaren livery?

Probably - Whitmarsh did confirm that he was in talks with the Slim family about Perez's sponsorship from Telmex and what impact that could have on their deal with Vodafone. That does seem to suggest that McLaren are thinking about how they would integrate Telmex's sponsorship into their current livery package, so presumably there will be some changes along the way.

Maybe we will see a revisit to white and red of the 1980s.

White, red and sky blue... maybe it could work. Just don't see it working with silver at all though.

Eddie Jordan has just gone up in my estimations
Think long term this will work for Lewis, gets away from his comfort zone, you may see him as a better driver next year, more the racer from when he first joined McLaren in 2007.
Perez on the other hand could beat Jenson next year, just my opinion but he is a smart kid with lots of Dinero!

Given how little Telmex influenced Sauber's livery, I don't find it likely (though maybe Carlos Slim would pay more to have Telmex logos featured prominently on a McLaren)...

As long as it doesn't go badly I don't mind a livery change for McLaren. I never really enjoyed their silver liveries anyways.
I have a feeling I'm going to regret saying this in two years...

I like the silver and black from the West sponsorship, but I'm not too fond of the silver and red liveries.

Accordingly one of the sponsors Perez will have at McLaren is Pemex.. Telemex is staying at Sauber with Esteban G.

Maybe the McLaren team you used to hate is changing?
I am beginning to wonder actually....

The day before Hamilton was confirmed to have signed for Mercedes there were photos of him in the Santander branch right in front of my bus stop.
Guess what happened to them the next day before noon.
(FYI some of the Jenson stuff is still up, so they're probably still sponsoring McLaren next year)

Hamilton is still contracted to McLaren until the end of the season, so I'd be surprised if all the sponsorship arrangements were suddenly changed at this point.
