Samsung are not interested yet, but I have placed 100% of Ferrari's commercial team in trying to attact them.
Marlboro will pay 0.561 Million for their 3 spots used.

Marlboro now refuse to sponsor anyone else.

Add 5 high-grade staff (that is, other than "good" and "trainee") and 3 lower-grade staff ("good" and "trainee") in all categories. :)

And Tsunami will make talks with Samsung, TATA, and Air Asia while investing 50% on double-deck-diffuser and 15% on adjustable front wing. ;)

Right, DSR would like 25 men working on every department (25 designers, 25 engineers, 25 mechanics and 25 commercial) all of which at the best possible quality (5 stars). Commercials should spend their time like that: 60% on RBS and 40% on Dell. Also I'd like to sign with Marlboro for N, P, Q, R spots. Other staff working 100 on Double diffuser.

Yeah, I was away for the weekend, so I read it through the lines, so I missed that, my mistake. Okay, forget about Marlboro, everything else remains the same.

Williams wants to add 5 excellent staff to designers and mechanics,3 excellent staff to engineers and commercial.

As for driver aids,we will focus 60 percent on aero assisted body,25 percent on double diffuser and 15 percent on turbo.

For sponsorship,Williams focus 70 percent on attracting Samsung to the most expensive point on the car,20 percent to RBS and ten percent to DHL

You currently have the 2nd best security, to move up to the top security would cost 1.2 Million just to break your current contract. Then you would have to pay 1.6 Million for the top security.

Image
(Breaking in to DSR costs 50K)
The "borrowing from other teams" part of the game works like this, you pay the above cost to attempt to "gather info" on a team. You will either fail, or succeed.
If you fail, you paid the money for nothing but you are free to try other teams. If you succeed you will see what parts and driver aids the team you investigated have that are better than yours. You then have the option to trade or to steal a part.

Trading will mean either buying or giving them a better part in exchange for the part you want with no risk.
Stealing means getting the part very cheaply but at the risk of being caught and not getting the part and being given a large fine.

You can only get one item from one team between race weekends.

Minardi will spend 70% of their time in talks with Santander. We believe this will be a good, mutual Italian tie-up (Italian in the game!).

20% of time is spent with Air Asia. The final 10% will be with Mobil 1.

I'm new to this kind of game, so will the stealing be announced publicly or be done via PM's?

To aid our efforts a further £500,000 will be invested into our commercial department. We're seeking good talent to help with our sponsorship negotiations.

We will keep our current security contract for now, cause we will keep our money. As for stealing - we are not breaking in anyone until the end of the opening race. Btw as for breaking into other teams - can you make the system via e-mails or something - I think would be more realistic if it is not disclosed who is stealing from you (and vice versa).

Ok, I will allow stealing to be done privately though if you get caught, I will make it public.
If you wish to steal privately it is best to send me a list of targets in order of who you want to break in to the most, so as to prevent me having to send messages back in forth saying if you are successful or not.

If you are feeling bold you can announce it publicly too. One of the highlights of MTBMW season 1 was how everyone bullied and stole from BAR .

So these are Red Bull's plans for the pre-season:

Personnel:

Hire 10 VG Engineers and 10 VG Mechanics.

Driver Aids:

Develop a Turbo, a Double Diffuser and an Adjustable Front Wing at the following rates:

Turbo - 30%
Double Diffuser - 30%
Adjustable Front Wing - 40%

Sponsorship:

We will start negotiations with Bridgestone and Shell. 70% of our time will be spent on Bridgestone and 30% on Shell.

Security:

Status quo for the moment.

Ok.

Staff

Virgin will look towards signing 20 top class staff in each department.

Sponsors

As we aren't big enough to attract anymore than a 2 star sponsor. We'd like to focus 100% of our time on Petronas.

Secuirity

Switch to Top security at once.No matter the cost. Low end security will see us spending too much stealing parts with the chuckle brothers security.

Development

50% on Traction Control, 50% on Turbo.

To do that would mean breaking your contract with the best security firm! So you would be paying even more money for something worse than you currently have!

Image

This is the final major area of the game that needs to be mentioned, manufacturing. Just like driver aids and sponsors you set your crew to develop parts. You can also adjust the balance between developing new parts and driver aids (R&D), the default for everyone is 80-20.

Minardi wish to have 50% of their engineers time taken up with manufacturing, with 50% on R&D.

To this end we'll invest another £500,000 in of the Design, Engineering and Commercial sectors.

The commercial department will focus 100% on attracting sponsors.

Btw, how have we spent on security? Also, (I apologie about all the questions!) is there an option to increase the effectiveness/chances of success of spying and stealing?

OK, it cost you about 1 million to change security firms. and Will cost you 1.6 Million to have the top security firm for the season.
No there is no way to improve the effectiveness of breaking in to other teams (at least as far as I know in all my years of playing the game!).

Your current staff situation is:

Design: 28 (12E 10VG 6G) 2.308 Million
Engineering:46 (19E 19VG 8G) 1.722 Million
Mechanics: 36 (20E 12VG 6G) 1.207 Million
Commercial:26(25E 1T) 1.358 Million

Ok on the R&D. For sponsorship I would rather keep it sponsors only, merchandise really is ineffective in GPM2 and an unnecessary complication.
You already have the second best security but as for Grand Theft Auto:

Using a random number generator, first you try and fail to break in to Williams and fail.
Then you try to break in to Minardi, fresh from installing the highest grade security! Despite this you manage to break in to the team!
You find their: Gearbox,ECU and airbox are all better than yours.
You attempt to steal the gearbox but find it is too heavily guarded, you attempt to steal the ECU but get caught!
Tsunami are fined 150k for bringing the sport in to disrepute!

Minardi are angred by Tsunami's blatent attempt at breaking into their factory.

As a result Minardi despatches Arnie, Chuck and the lads to break into the Tsunami factory and steal some bits as revenge. If they can't steal anything then they'll just TP the drawing office. At the very least they'll graffiti the outer perimeter of the factory...

Also in a show of anger Minardi decides to attempt a public break-in at Williams to humiliate Tsunami and succeed where they failed.....!

You still have 50 million, as costs do not go through until after the first race. Though Minardi have managed to spend over a million already!
Williams already have the 2nd best security available so that is fine.
