Many late but happy returns! Water is 4200 J/kg/K and ... never mind. I studied specific latent heat capacity for my physics exam in June and it was so hard.
4180 J/Kg/K actually. Yep, so glad I'm making an effort with school and not having a social life at all.
takagi pls.
It's 4186

Isn't specific heat capacity J/Kg.K? I mean, J/Kg/K would be JK/Kg, no?

Nope, Joules per kilogram per Kelvin.
The energy-heat equation is E = mc(theta), where E is the enthalpy of the system, m is the mass, c is the specific heat capacity and theta is the change in temperature (which can be either centigrade or kelvin, the scale's the same) so rearranging to make c the subject gives c = E/m(theta), which is J/g.K.
Unless of course, we're on about two separate things...then ignore me!

To eliminate any confusion, that's why negative indices were introduced.
Hence the units you'd really want are J kg^(-1) K^(-1) which would be a lot clearer if I could use superscripts here...

Add mine as well to the list: 26th of April 2000, the 6th birthday of Daniil Kvyat, the 14th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster, and the 63rd anniversary of the Guernica Bombing. Sums me up quite frankly.

It's also the birthday of Jean-Pierre Beltoise, winner of the 1972 Monaco Grand Prix, Lucky Bastard Johnny Dumfries and almost-USF1 driver José María López.

I get the impression you're quite into explosions, given your signature, your avatar and this post. Are you a fan of NASCAR too?

I watch a lot of motorsport in general, mainly F1, IndyCar, and NASCAR. And my avatar refers to my username, a Sukhoi Su-25 Frogfoot of the Czech Air Force with the tail code 9013. And yes I am into explosions. Hell, I have a model tank collection.

I mean proper explosions. Not movie explosions, I haven't watched a movie of any sort for around a year now.

The number of wee nippers born in a year starting with a 2 is just going to keep climbing, isn't it...
...in May 2001, I was taking my university finals!

In May 2001, I was about to take my A-level exams, so now I am feeling even older on here than when I was completing my second undergrad degree earlier this year.

I know what you guys mean, even i'm starting to feel old now, not compared to you pair, but to a lot of the newbies.

You will be the youngest one on the list, but you're not younger than wmetcalf68. IIRC he was 9 when he joined the forum back in October 2011.
Wait, he was 9 when he joined? Lolwut? That makes him 12 today! Hahaha, and I thought he was like 46 because of the 68 in his name.
First time I saw the acronym, 'NSFM', it was on this forum, and I kinda figured it out, but accidently thought it meant, 'Not Suitable For Metcalfe.' As if it was an acronym for a particular person because of his young age...

Hehe, and I might be the youngest on the list, but I remember watching that one reject whose name musn't be mentioned race. His home race in 2004 is actually the first race I remember watching!
But okay, I am younger than the site, I accept that. How old is the site again?

15 years, I believe. It was set up in 1999(?)
I believe that it was either October or November 1999 when the site went online.
