March will offer the #10 seat to Depailler, at a salary of £800000 for the whole season

Though having an unexperienced line-up, these are all talented drivers for certain, so in theory everything works out for a good amount of lower points finishes.

Damn, that's what I get for being cheap. McLaren will offer Denny Hulme 500k to drive the #55 and offer the #56 to Rikky von Opel

The #25 Hesketh car will contest the Race of Champions, the BDRC International Trophy, and the following Grands Prix:

- Spain, Belgium, Monaco, Sweden, France, UK, Germany, Austria, Italy (driven by Francois Migault)
- Netherlands (driven by Gijs van Lennep)

Barring unexpected incidents (such as driver injuries or Gutierrez-esque form) this is our driver plan for the coming season.

Alan Jones is able to raise 46,000 and hopes to be able to run in one of the cars at the Australian Grand Prix too.

You will have the chance to install upgrades to your cars from after the opening two South American races and the Presidente Medici Grand Prix. I will release further details on that then but one thing I'll say now is that RNGs will decide whether they are successful or not.

As for going into debt, I will allow you to go into it as far as you want as long as you are back in the black by the beginning of the next season.

Points System

1974 will see a new points system put into place covering far more of the field than the old system did. There will also be bonus points. The maximum score per race is 100 points.

Drivers must complete 90% of the race distance to be eligible for points.

Prize Money

Prize Money will be distributed to teams at a rate of 10,000 per point scored. Anyone that is able to qualify for the race but is unable to score shall receive 5,000 each. However there is no money for those that DNQ.

Non-Championship Grands Prix will not offer points but will still offer the equivalent prize money.

Rookie of the Year
If you have looked at the season wiki page you will notice some drivers with (R) next to their name. That means they are eligible for the Rookie of the Year championship.

To be eligible a driver must have started no more than 5 Championship Grands Prix in any one season or no more than 10 combined. They must also be scheduled to run at least 8 Championship Grands Prix during the current season.

At each Grand Prix an extra 100,000 is given to the top finishing ROTY contender. They will also receive one point towards the ROTY championship. The ROTY champion at the end of the year will receive 1,000,000 towards a drive for next season.

David Walker is able to raise 66,000.
David Hobbs is able to raise 36,000.
Eppie Wietzes is able to raise 41,000.
Guy Edwards is able to raise 58,000.
Mike Wilds is able to raise 19,000.

Walker, Purley and Edwards it will be. All 3 of them will drive all 3 of the non-championship races, in the 15,16 and 14 respectively.

You should all have PMs containing your car and engine stats now. You will have a chance to develop upgrades for your cars or even develop completely new designs but only after the opening two Grands Prix and the Presidente Medici. Until then you are stuck with what you have.

In the next few days I'll post some results from a pre-season test which will give some clue on where everyone is in performance. I may write up a season preview too.
