I feel sorry for Wall there, he was on track for the top 10 and will now be relegated outside the top 20 because of the stupid red flag rule.

Well done Mostert for the top 10, but one thing remains - he got beaten by Engel

Dunno. They're all working in qualifying, but only Slade's works in race trim.
Also,

Two tyre failures at pretty much the same time. That does not look good at all.

Plus three or four in the first half. Barbagallo is fairly hard on tyres, but it usually isn't a problem.

yep. gotta count our lucky stars the way they're given to us lol.
"at least it wasn't Whincup" has a similar ring as "at least it wasn't Vettel", but i feel like Webber is just going to be whipped into that not happening.

Likely at least one HRT, maybe both. That'd be it though, the rest would have to get paid by Holden to do it and Holden is only slightly less cheap than Ford

Reminds me of that special livery GRM ran on Caruso's car back in 2009. Except nowhere near as good.

Texas Special #3, with confirmation that

i'm going to laugh at all the confused texans, though.
my autoshop teacher, all around GM fan truck and all, fresh out of texas(born 'n' raised), doesn't know what a Holden is.
the only cars relevant to the American market are the Mercs and the Nissans. We are already able to buy the new Altimas here in the states, but it doesn't have a V8 option, nor do they have plans for one...so.... go figure.
...unless FPV Australia pulls a fast one and ships Mustangs or V8 Fusions, which is at a 0% chance.

Oddly, the new Commodore bodywork reminds me of the Chevy Impala.

The Chevrolet SS is a Badge-Engineered Commodore, so the switch (in theory) should be rather simple.

It's not confirmed yet, AA are known as Auto Fiction for a very good reason.
I see three reasons why Chrysler won't be entering with GRM:
1) Garry was trying to get them to join in since the COTF was confirmed, and failed miserably.
2) Brad Jones was doing eaxctly the same thing.
3) GRM and BJR are two of Holden's three most competitive teams at the moment, and since they're smarter than Ford they might actually try and hang on to them

Yeah, it may be a patently ridiculous situation depending on what side of the fence you're on, but you can't deny it's downright hilarious when something bad happens to Triple 8

in America the laws are particularly strict if you visit Texas, but aren't from Texas.
also in Washington DC the "no fly zone" is so strict, if a human could jump higher than the 555 foot Washington Monument, they'll scramble the fighter jets. it hasn't been done, but i'm sure they'll do it

WHINCUPWINSLOL.
I caught the start, and Whincup had the race sewn up before he'd even reached the first corner, because Coulthard clearly tried to imitate Mark Webber with his start...

Lowndesy at least gave him a bit of a fight towards the end, but he was never gonna pass him.
Still, that was fantastic race, which is strange because usually V8s on Tilkedromes are just as bad as F1 races

Poor old Erebus, though. They finally start to show some pace, and then Slade spins, Engel suffers instant karma, and the only one who didn't spin had a power steering failure
